Maintaining our tradition BSQ presented Raghab Chatterjee this year on 3rd June. Raghab had mesmerized the crowd with his wonderful voice. Raghab Chatterjee Raghab Chatterjee is a popular singer-musician associated with Bengali and Hindi film and music induatry. He started his music as a guitarist at the age of 9 from Pradyut banerjee.

Raghab was a great admirer and listener of S.D. Burman, R.D. Burman, Madanmohan, Sudhin Dasgupta, Salil Chaudhury, Rabindra Jain and so many legendary music composers and singers of India.

3 Raghab Chatterjee Raghab Chatterjee is a popular singer-musician associated with Bengali and Hindi film and music induatry. He started his music as a guitarist at the age of 9 from Pradyut banerjee. After 10 years of practice he started professional playing with so many renowned singers in Kolkata and also in radio television. His singing is a natural habit from childhood. Raghab was a great admirer and listener of S.D. Burman, R.D. Burman, Madanmohan, Sudhin Dasgupta, Salil Chaudhury, Rabindra Jain and so many legendary music composers and singers of India. His mother Smt. Shila Chatterjee also a finest classical artist who nourished his singing talent and encouraged him to start singing. He started to his mother and after that Dr Amiya Ranjan Banerjee and finally he got chance at ITC/ SRA under guru Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty for 6 years. Last 6 years he is taking lessons from Ustad Rashid Khan, till date he is learning music. His Bengali albums are Bhorer Alo, Tumi nei bole, Sharodia, Aat range, AAmar akash, Bhubanamohini, Shamiana, Nameplate, Srot, Rong number, Khuda jaane, Ebong Rabindranath, Ebar najrul, Songfusion etc. In hindi, Rishtaa, Bandish fusion, Raaga rocks and many more. He sang in bollywood hindi films like Devdas, Tere naam, Raincoat, Well done abba etc, in bengali fims like, Patal ghor, Bandhan, Suvodristi, Bor asbe ekhuni, Rupkatha noe, Accident, Chaturango, Cholo paltai, Meghe dhaka tara, Baishe srabon, Onno apala, Bitnoon, Maya mridanga etc and lots of commercials, TV serials and tele films. Raghab has many music videos and live shows available in youtube. He has worked in films with Bappi Lahiri, Shantanu Moitra, Ismail Darbar, Sajid wajid, Indradip Dasgupta, Debajyoty Mishra, Y.S.Mulki, Ram Sampath, Monty Sharma, Shankar Eshaan Loy, Jeet Ganguly, Pritam and so many Music directors in mumbai and kolkata. He sang for many famous film directors like Rituporno Ghosh, Sanjay leela Bhansali, Dev anand, Rajkumar Heerani, Pradip Sarkar, Shoojit Sarkar, Shyam Benegal, Satish Kaushik, Srijit Mukherjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Kaushik Ganguli, Raja Sen, Satarupa Sanyal, Suman Mukhopadhyay and many more. Raghab is a finest and rocking stage performer, usually sings his own songs in Bengali, Hindi, Filmy, Fusion, Sufi, old melody, ghazals etc. He is also doing music direction for albums and films now. Raghab has rendered ICC world cup cricket theme song 2011 for Shanker Ehsaan Loy. He has performed across India and USA, Canada, Kuwait, London, Nigeria, Bangkok, Muscat, Hongkong, Abu dhabi, Dubai, Bangladeh, Doha and lots of prestigious shows across the world. He also got some great awards like National Scholarship in classical vocal by Govt of India, ITC/SRA scholarship, R D Burman award, Uttam Kumar award, Kalakar award, Mirchi music award, HMV Golden Talent Contest winner and Bangla Sangeet Samman from Government of West Bengal. He is also a regular performer in all leading TV and FM radio channels. Moreover Raghab also does pure classical concerts all over the world. BSQ is proud to present Raghab for the first time not only in Brisbane but in Australia.

All can be done after we have the headcount. VENUE : Lions park picnic point LAST DATE FOR EFT : 12th June Contribution : $35 per person.

..but the usual pickup points will remain.

6 MAY 2017 BSQ Annual Picnic 2017 Saturday, 24th June Dear Members, Its picnic time again. Not much time left for us to prepare...we have booked the bus, but yet to finalise the pick up routes, finalise the menu, do the shopping...and lots more. All can be done after we have the headcount. VENUE : Lions park picnic point LAST DATE FOR EFT : 12th June Contribution : $35 per person. Children below 12 years those who occupy a bus seat : $20, For children not requiring a seat : free. The bus route will be announced in due course...but the usual pickup points will remain. Highlights of this years picnic :: Children sports like last year Fun games for the grownups NEW THIS YEAR : Mock-tail...The park has a no-alcohol policy. The picnic "goat-curry" and "muri makha" will surely be there However, all the above depends on sufficient turnout. Please note that If we do not receive EFT for a minimum of 90 heads by the 12th June we will be forced to cancel the event. Please note that there will be no further remind- ers until 10th June. Motichoor Rabri Ingredients: Motichoor ladoo - 6 Full cream milk -

8 Motichoor Rabri Ingredients: Motichoor ladoo - 6 Full cream milk - 1 litre, Cardamom powder - 1 tsp Sugar - 2 tbsp ( or as per taste ), Almond and pistachio for garnishing Fresh Raspberry Procedure: Heat full cream milk in a heavy bottom pan. When the milk comes to a rolling boil, simmer the heat and let it cook on low heat till it is reduced to half. Add cardamom powder and sugar and cook again till the milk is thickened and has reduced to almost ¼th of the original quantity. Remove the rabri from heat and let it cool completely. Churn radri in blender for smoothness Crumble the ladoos and make a layer of motichoor in shot glasses. Pour rabri on top. Garnish with almond and pistachio Make all the parfaits in the same manner. Chill in refrigerator for 6-8 hours before serving. Serve with Raspberry on top
