Since its founding, the Harambee Festival has brought the community together on the last Saturday in February with artistic expressions, free health screenings, intellectual and fun events, special activities for children, opportunities for our students to apply their organizational and public relation skills, vending opportunities for small merchants, and some of the best entertainment and food found anywhere. I invite you to support the Harambee Festival s attempt to make the 30th anniversary even more special and meaningful while simultaneously securing its financial sustainability. For thirty years, this festival has been recognized as the signature event in the Columbia and wider communities to culminate Black History Month.
