2 Aim of the GGI The GGI is a joint venture of INFN and the University of Florence. It is funded by INFN and it is located in a building belonging to the University. The GGI organizes 2-3 months workshops within the scientific aims of the Theory Committee of INFN. The workshops are approved by the GGI Committees about 1 ½ year in advance. The scientific organization of the workshops is in care of the proponents. The budget of each workshop is on the base of 20 visitors per day, each of them staying for at least three weeks. A per diem of 70 Euro/day is provided by the GGI + some extra-money (~10 KE/month)
