21 Perspectives New targets New acceleration schemes CIME upgrade for astrophysics EBIS charge breeder for higher energies
22 (From F. Chautard internal report) Lower energy beams with CIME Astrophysical reactions Novae X-ray bursts CIME working Diagram no beam no data Budget SPIRAL1 estimated today to 20k 15 1 O year 1.2 MeV/u postdoc ~1 year work The limit is 1.75 MeV/u To maintain V source well above 10 kv (beam quality request) and to minimize the extraction energy W (physics request), one has to increase the injection radius R injec of the cyclotron for a fixed extraction radius. The design of a new inflector is necessary. Not a project: Evaluation is required
