RESEARCH INTERESTS Seismic Sources and moment tensor inversion; determination of source mechanisms using different algorithms; analysis of local earthquakes in volcanic environments (Campi Flegrei and Vesuvius, Italy); analysis of regional scale and local earthquakes in the Scotia Sea Region and the Italian Peninsula. Waveform inversion to obtain structural parameters; determination of structural models with differential seismogram computation methodologies applied to waveform inversion; application of the methodology to the Scotia Sea region. Surface wave tomography and non-linear inversion of dispersion relations; experience in Frequency-Time Analysis of time series; group velocity tomography in volcanic areas (Campi Flegrei, Italy; Afar, Ethiopia); group velocity tomography at regional scale (Caribbean Sea; Cameroon). Determination of structural models by non-linear inversion of group and phase velocity dispersion data in the Campi Flegrei and Vesuvius region (Italy). Seismogram analysis; experience in seismogram analysis for local, regional and teleseismic earthquakes; computation of synthetic seismograms in laterally homogeneous media; multimode summation differential seismograms for layered structures. Seismic attenuation and attenuation tomography measured from spectra of P and S wave arrivals.
