4.GEOLOGY Geology of the survey area was taken from Teknomining s Competent Persons Report and directly included herein. Figure-10: Geology map of license area with number of The license area represents mainly three formations which occurred at different ages. The oldest formation is Bitlis metamorphic, secondly Kulp ophiolite originated from the Guleman Group and the youngest is crumbs of Lice formation. Bitlis metamorphic ( bg ): These formations in the mine prospects are in combined form of gneiss type. The formation located by tectonic contact on Kulp ophiolite is primarily composed of albite gneiss. The other constituents are albite amphibole gneiss and amphibole gneiss. Amphibole gneiss contains enriched magnetite lentils because of dissemination and metamorphism. Yellowish, brownish, greyish and greenish coloured, these units resembles 13
significant gneiss texture due to metamorphism. In the mine area schistosity is seen in NW-SE direction and sloping to NE orientation. Petrographical analysis of samples indicated that the formation is composed of quartz syenite, quartz diorite, epidote, actinolite feldspar, quartz syenite-gneiss. In the investigation area, effects of upthrust zone leaded to clays as alteration products. Therefore, it is understood that; initial situation of rock units in this complex are originated from acidic magma and some times basic magma at very depth or as seam type minerals. The complex has a wide spreading at slopes of Kehervenk Dere valley and shows high thickness towards to Harmuri Hill and Durşin Hill. All previous researchers agree that, the complex is a volcano sedimentary and Precambrian age. Kulp ophiolite (Kko): This formation is represented in the investigation area by serpentinisation of various ultra basic rocks. Fresh fractured surfaces are seen in green or dark green colors and oxidized surfaces are seen in light green or greenish brown colors. These surfaces are polished, bright, angular fractured, very hard, fragile and show a cataclastic structure at closed parts of the drift. In most parts, effects of tectonic and roundness are seen. Dunite, harzburgite and pyroxenite differentiation could be easily done in parts where serpentinisation is poor. Investigation areas are located on up throw zone so chromium lentils are shifted densely. Almost all chromium lentils are founded in dunite and have bright greenish and honey colors. The chromium lentils have 75 cm surface thickness. Sulfide ore bodies in the region are generally in irregular pockets or platen form and found in ultra basic serpentines rocks. Copper mineralization in the prospects is seen in cracks of a fault which intersects the Keverhenk valley in NE-SW direction as a hydrothermal output. The formation shows wide spreading outcrops in the area. The formation is covered by gneisses and has tectonic contacts with upper and bottom rocks. The age of formation is Campanian-Lower Maestrihtiyen. Lice formation (Tl): Even though it is the youngest formation of the area it takes place at the bottom due to tectonic of the region. It is deposited in the basin at the front of the up throw zone and is composed of clay, marl, sand and sandstone succession. It changes to 14
Fırat formation at the bottom and has cream, beige and yellowish limestone with plentiful algae and benthic fossil foraminifers. Towards the top, thin layered grey, greenish grey and beige colored sandstone-siltstone-shale-marl succession. In investigation area, the formation spreads wide at slopes of the Kulp River and gets thicker towards to the South. The age of formation is Lower-Mid Miocene. STRUCTURAL GEOLOGY In upper Miocene, as a result of North-South intersection of the Arabia and Eurasia plates, they collided along the Bitlis Kenet Belt. Tectonic movement in this belt throw up characterized faults which continue to the present. Borders of these closed plates present very rich mineral zones and due to heavy metamorphism these zones have been restructured and formed enriched mineral deposits. In the investigation area which is part of the prospect area the effects of both big plates are seen. These result in high grade ore especially in metallic minerals such as Copper, Chromium & Iron already found in the licenced areas. GEOLOGY & MINERALIZATION The mine claims are located in a metallogenic belt found in the Southeast Anatolia up throw zone. They have three lithological formations which have tectonic contact relations. Sulfide ores are found in ultra basic rocks, but they are also found in amphibole gneisses with magnetite lentils at the area between Kendulheşin Hill and Harmuri Hill. The main ore minerals in the licence areas are chalcopyrite, pyrite, pyrotine, magnetite and sphalerite. Some secondary minerals, as a result of surface activities are marcasite (iron mineral) and limonites. In sulfide ores, replacement texture and segregation texture are clearly seen. The replacement texture mostly occurred in chalcopyrite and then in magnetite and pyrotine. Another important texture type segregation texture is seen in chalcopyrite-sphalerite, sphalerite-chalcopcite, sphalerite-pyrite and pyrotine-pentlandite. It was thought that mineralization started at a stage before magma output by leaving out sulfide-silicate liquid to restructured partly crystallized silicate. Copper ores at mid of Kehervenk Dere valley has formed an enriched ore zone throughout the fault zone. Samples of this zone were analyzed, Moreover, chromites lentils in 15
dunite formation were also analyzed. Finally, amphibole zone on the ultra basic rocks contains high grade magnetite porches. They were also analyzed. 16

Detailed (5m x 5m) magnetic survey on Magnetite Outcrop Topography of the survey area was taken by GARMIN branded, 60CSX model hand GPS. Figure-14: Topography Map of 5m x 5m gridding magnetic survey 20
Readings were downloaded day by day and corrected values were mapped everyday to recognize the noisy values. Very few noisy values had to be re-taken. UTM ED50 mapping system was used and the anomalies were processed at zone 37. Figure-15: Total magnetic intensity map of 5m x 5m gridding magnetic survey 21
Anomalies had reduced to pole and Mono pole map was created. Figure-16: Magnetic Reduction to pole map of 5m x 5m gridding magnetic survey Reduction Pole map was used for interpretation. 22
6. CORRELATION OF MAGNETIC VALUES & DERIVATION MAPS Positive anomaly value range in Reduced to Pole Map is between 48000nT nT. These positive anomalies belong to possible iron deposits. This strong possibility is being proved by field experience and samples. Pick points of these anomalies are given below. X Y nt Possible thickness (m) RESISTIVITY & IP CROSS SECTIONS 7 potential electrodes were used for this pol-dipol survey with a spacing of 100m. So estimated depth was 250m from surface. Deepest data was collected from 240m. Moves were taken as 50m to have double resolution. Array type was given at figure-17 23
Figure-17:Symbolic design of survey 24
mN Profile Resistivity cross section was taken as lithology cross section and IP was taken as metallic effect cross section. First we have to match the colours that are required for metallic mineralization. Lower resistivity values which were marked with blue (lower cross section) and High IP values which were marked with red (upper cross section) were calibrated at desired scale. These low resist zones were taken as possible massive sulphide zones mN Profile; Values of this profile show more potential that the previous one. IP values reaches 56mV/V. Two kinds of anomaly were detected on this cross section. One was low resistivity and high IP the other one has medium resistivity values and high IP values. The first one was taken as massive sulphide and the second one was taken as silicated sulphide zone. To detect these anomalies D1, D2 and D3 are suggested. 25

8.CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATIONS Drilling process at Magnetite outcrop area should be done at given coordinates. Shallow readings at 30m-50m target depths are not shown on the table below. Main bodies were signed on maps, but there is a secondary system which was shallower at Eastern and getting deeper at Northern sections. This system could be taken as a feeder of the system which is above the surface. Maximum value of reliable anomaly was found at mE, mN coordinates in Ground mag surveys. Suggested drillings should be done to 240m depth which is the maximum depth that the survey can detect. It will be necessary to drill deeper if copper traces are found in the drill cores. This survey should be extended North because of the possible anomaly values of IP and Resistivity. These values may change significantly. In order to obtain accurate results on actual reserves a drilling program as indicated on page 28 needs to be carried out. This will allow certain modeling to be carried out in order to achieve a three dimensional picture of the reserve. 29
