T h e foliose Leptosomia simplex g r o w s from c r a c k s a n d c r e v i c e s b e t w e e n t h e r o c k s a n d f o r m s l o n g r i b b o n s b y t h e e n d o f t h e s u m m e r. In t h e f o r e g r o u n d is a l i m p e t (Nacella polaris).
