I hold a MSc and PhD in Physical Geography, Geoecology and Geomatics, and in 2007 I was awarded The Prize of the Rector of the Comenius University in Bratislava for outstanding master thesis. During my appointment as a PhD at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, I have participated on two EU funded international projects (TOPO EUROPE and CEC Francia Media), and many national research projects with interdisciplinary focus (in Slovakia and Germany). Additionally, as a researcher and qualified project manager I have led three research projects, one of them in Germany, as well as organized and participated on several field campaigns. I have eventful research career, including two years experience abroad in the time of my PhD appointment (in Poland, Germany and Belgium), and additional half year experience during my MSc. The results obtained during these research stays have been published, submitted, or the publication is under preparation. As the first author, I have presented on twelve international conferences, and recently have collaborated on networking activities, workshop organisation and proposal writing within TOPO-EUROPE Young Research Workshop and BRIDGe initiatives. I have written four book chapters in regional physical geography, and one in geoarchaeology. Since I have defended my PhD in August 2013, I have moved to Germany (for family reasons), where I have not only actively worked on finalizing various publications, but have broaden my qualification trough language and soft skill courses, as well continuous participation on the interdisciplinary CEC project. To be able to pursue my personal career research goals further, I hereby apply for the AgreenSkills Fellowship in the INRA-LISAH Laboratory, which provides me an ideal possibility to develop my personal scientific concept FAIR - the Future Agriculture Innovative, AdaptIve & Resilient. It focuses on development of innovative scientific solutions for sustainable agriculture. In its first phase I aim to further research the interactions between soil erosion and land-use management practices, as well as to improve my modelling skills and understanding of the future environment changes in Mediterranean region. Exactly these tasks I am able to conduct within the project FAIR-ER Med, with which I apply for the AgreenSkills Fellowship. From shorter point of view, the project will provide me expert skills, and scientific soft-skills (networking, project writing, managing, and organisational skills), and guarantee high ranked publication, so important to pursue my further career. In the long-term the FAIR-ER MED projects allow me to move forward my principal research goal, which I would like to (in about ten to fifteen years) transform into the objective of a vital, highly professional, functioning and innovative research and development working group under my leadership.
