9 For further information please contact DFCP at or ext CANCELLATION / REFUNDS Since the Dean of Continuing Education and Partnerships reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrolment, a full refund will only be given to participants who have paid for a course that is cancelled by the Dean. Participants must withdraw before the third scheduled class. A $ 45 non-refundable administrative fee will be withheld. No refund will be given after the third scheduled class.

10 French as a second language I : beginner level type. They will understand questions and instructions. They will be able to ask questions and handle short social exchanges. Students will be able to read and write simple texts. French as a second language II : intermediate level Students will be able to understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, and leisure. They will be able to deal with most situations likely to arise when French is spoken. They will be able to express themselves in a simple and coherent manner on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They will be able to relate events and personal experiences, describe projects or ambitions, explain the reasons behind a project or an idea, and ask questions. French as a second language III : advanced level Students will be able to understand the main content of a complex text on concrete or abstract topics. They will be able to interact with native speakers with a degree of fluency and spontaneity. They will be able to express themselves in a clear, detailed manner on a wide range of subjects, explain their opinion on a topical issue, and the advantages and disadvantages of various options. They will be able to use French flexibly and effectively for social, professional and academic purposes. Anglais: conversation Les apprenants seront amenés à échanger en anglais sur différents sujets dans le but d'améliorer leurs performances à l'oral, d'enrichir leur vocabulaire et de mettre en application leurs connaissances de la grammaire et de la syntaxe anglaises. Anglais pour le travail Les apprenants seront capables d interagir en anglais dans le cadre d une entrevue d embauche, de faire des exposés oraux dans le cadre de leur travail, de communiquer par téléphone et dans les réunions de travail.
