12 12/12 CHARTS read mode: T&T osc* : First : to get a bullish trend, we need an oscillator above 1. Second : the MA red or green shows the oscillator momentum. The cross between the indicator and the moving average can be used as a trading signal in order to decrease or increase the exposure, To be more efficient, you may open a bull trade only if the cross and the indicator are above 1. When the indicator is above 1 and the cross indica tes a sell signal, it is not a sell signal, it is only time to close the trade or to redeuce the exposure. T&T CMF : Chaikin money flow indicates accumulation (green) or distribution (red) volume. On the main chart, we use a channel made of two moving averages to determine the trend. We need a close above the upper one to become bullish. On the opposite, a close below the lowest moving average and we get a bearish signal (red). If a buying trade is already ru nning and then the price comes down between the 2 moving averages, you can accumulate more positions as long as we don't see a close below the lowest moving average. To make it clearer, we added a pink line, acting as a trend reversal level. We use also a sophisticated moving average(red dashes) implemented as a LT trend technical tooll but ST reactive. Very often, they are useful also as a potential target, support or resistance. IMPORTANT : our methodology is a mixed approach with results extracted from: trend following models, support-resistance levels, quantitative trend profile based on all index component. Don't be surprised if sometimes, the T&T trend appearing on the chart is different than the one indicated in the table with the ST,MT and LT trend and their own reversal levels. Charts are edited from ProRealtime.com RANKING - SCORING - RATING read mode: Those spreadsheets bring to light a qualitative view of the index components based on technical indicators to determine RELATIVE and ABSOLUTE trends. The RELATIVE trend compared each support, stock or sector, against the sample mean. On the top, you get the average values obtained with the index components. On the RELATIVE scoring page 3 and page 7, just below for each assets, you get the spread between the components and the sample mean. Concerning the ABSOLUTE scoring page 5 and 9, each instrument shows its absolute datas. As usual, we use the green color to light up components beating the index and a red color for the opposite. The scoring is a T&T qualitative tool. It enables us to rate each index components. The sample is sorted from the best to the worst scoring. On the right of the spread sheet, we can appreciate for several time frames, how each stocks performed. For example, If on the longest time frame a stock has beaten the index and on the short term does the opposite, it can be an opportunity to the exposure on that instrument to reallocate the inflow on an instrument improving its short term performance!!! Through an internal process, we determine 7 trend ratings: RATING ABSOLUTE RATING Eq LEVEL 3 > 2 2 neutral 1 Neutral > -2 and < 2 0 neutral -1 < The Neutral rating is also dedicated to stocks waving with no clear trend after a significant surge or drop. It is a transitional mode. Their scoring can be avove 2 or below -2 Thanks to this method we are able to get a trend quality profile through trend rating. We apply this method for index components and for Stoxx and Dow Jones sectors. In order to provide sound statistical analysis, sectors are classified as Cyclical, Defensive or Financial, so we can easily appreciate the engine of the current trend. Sector colors Financial Defensive Cyclical Rough data are coming from Thomson Reuters.
