This paper attepted to establish soil evaluation quality odel based on the atter-eleent theory. The Yellow River beach of Zhengzhou was taken as the study region, soil saples were collected and six heavy etals of Cd, Hg, As, Cu, Pb and Cr were easured for evaluation. The results showed that: soil pollution levels in the Yellow River beach were between the clean and pollution, which suggested the pollution was low. The evaluation ethod could deal with onitoring data ore scientifically and effectively and the evaluation of the results was ore credible. It could also scientifically deterine the level of heavy etal pollution of soil, distinguish and quantify the degree of pollution and avoid the subectivity in evaluation process. Therefore, the evaluation ethod based on the extension atter-eleent theory is an efficient new ethod in assessing soil heavy etal pollution. ey words: Yellow River beach, Soil heavy etal pollution, Matter-eleent analysis, Environental quality
