The Ancient 0 Day and 0 Day Calendars Earth/matriX The ancient Mesoamericans employed various calendars of which the most distinctive are the 0-day calendar and the 0-day calendar. These calendars have received much debate. In fact, some scholars even deny the possibility that they were actually calendars. The original names of these calendars have also come under disagreement. Different cultures assigned different names to the calendars; and, in addition to that, different scholars have assigned yet other names to these calendars. We shall avoid these discussions for now, and simply concentrate upon the aspect of the number series involved in each calendar. The ancient Egyptians (Kemi) employed a 0-day calendar based upon months of 0 days each. The ancient Mesoamericans employed a x 0 count for the 0c calendar, and an x 0 count for the 0c calendar. Our interest in this essay lies in examining the numerical combinations produced by the 0c, 0c, x 0 and x 0 counts. In this essay, we shall not concern ourselves with the names or the day-glyphs of each day, but shall treat this theme in future essays. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
Earth/matriX The 0c Calendrical Sequence The sequential numbering of the 0c day-count calendar would be presented conceptually in the manner illustrated, although scholars generally avoid this presentation. However, by simply listing the sequential ordering of the x 0 count, we shall be able to observe numerical relationships that may explain some of the historically significant numbers of the ancient Maya and Aztec Calendars. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
Earth/matriX The 0c Calendrical Sequence The sequential numbering of the 0c day-count calendar would be presented conceptually in the manner illustrated, although scholars generally avoid this presentation as well. However, by simply listing the sequential ordering of the x 0 count, we shall be able to observe numerical relationships that may explain some of the historically significant numbers of the ancient Maya and Aztec Calendars. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
Earth/matriX The Calendrical Count x 0 The Ancient 0 Day Calendar The Calendrical Count x 0 The following slide presents the x 0 count calendar in its numerical ordering, parallel to and with the c day-count ordering. In this manner, we may observe the numerical progression of each of these particular counts, the c and the c, and the manner in which they relate to one another, as designed by the ancients. Many scholars prefer to present these combinations of numerical series as of the concept of interlocking wheels. However, by doing this, we are not able to visualize the relationships among the different numbers and the historically significant numbers. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
The Calendrical Count x 0 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson The Calendrical Count x 0 Earth/ Earth/matriX matrix
Earth/matriX The Partial Count x 0 The Ancient 0 Day Calendar The x 0 Count The following slide is the same as the previous one, however we have now emphasized the x 0 count which runs alongside the c, in order to visualize its behavior better. Again, note that the c arrives only up to and inclusive of the 0c-day number. We shall review the full x 0c in slides thereafter. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson

The Correlation of Numbers of the x 0 x 0 Count to the x 0 x 0 Count 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson Earth/ Earth/matriX matrix In this slide, we have placed the x 0c as the main sequential series, with the x 0 count parallel to it. The actual relationship of numbers at the end of both counts varies from that shown, and shall be reviewed in later essays.
The 0 Count: The x 0 Count : The x 0 Count In the following slide, we shall now examine the sequential ordering of the 0c day-count in relation to the cyclical counts of x 0 and x 0. The purpose of this analysis is to simply illustrate the correlation of numerical counts of the different series, without any concern for the names of the day-glyphs or names of the days and their respective gods. We are simply considering the numbers and their respective behavior for each one of the counts. We are not concerned about the discussions of whether the counts begin on zero or the number one, or how these relate to the different counts. These themes shall be examined in future essays in greater detail. In the following slide, we are able to view the sequential 0c (numbers through 0), the x 0 count, and the x 0 count.

19 The 0 Count The x 0 Count The 0 Count The x 0 Count In the following slide, we may observe the symmetry regarding the placement of the counts for the : : days. In this manner, and taking into consideration the proportional and percentile ratios involved, it becomes visible that the 000c maya long-count period is a direct relationship of the c and the c day-counts. These two counts signify the lowest common denominators for the0c calendar, and appear precisely at the level of the th day on both the 0c calendar and on the 0c calendar. In this way, we may comprehend the fact that the 000c was chosen as an historically significant number, inasmuch as it relates directly to the mathematical computations involved in the numerical behavior of the two calendrical systems. The ratio of the th day to the 0th and to the 0th days also reveals an historically significant day-count for the synodical orbit time of Venus. With the perceived symmetry, and the historically significant numbers, one may comprehend that the relationships of the calendars are derived through conscious design. For the th day is to the 0th day as it is to the 0th day in terms of sysmmetry. 00 Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson

The Ancient Reckoning Count In reality, it would appear that by devising the 0c and the 0c calendars, the ancients were elaborating a reckoning system based upon four counts (if not more). The four counts and some of their multiples are: c c 0c 0c Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
The Ancient Reckoning Count Some of the historically significant numbers are detected upon the multiples. The c reflects various historically significant counts: c c = the constant number series 0 = calendar round = historically significant maya period = twice the kawil (c) count = maya long-count period Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
The Ancient Reckoning Count From the previous analysis, we may observe how the main reckoning counts of the 0c and the 0c day calendars relate to the c count of the Maya Long-Count Period. The expression of the Maya Long-Count Period is reflected in the end/start date of the 000 day period. In this manner, the c and the c calendars create within themselves the relational c count that is historically significant in the chosen dates of the Maya Long-Count System. The c count and its derivatives are a natural phenomenon within the proportional ratios established by the c and the c calendars. c (multiples thereof) 0 = historically significant maya period = twice the kawil (c) count = maya long-count period Copyrighted by Charles William Johnson
