2 Dear colleagues, The Organizing Committee would like to invite you to participate in the 2014 Ediacaran/Cryogenian Subcommission symposium and workshop in South China. As outlined in the second circular, the field workshop and symposium consists of three segments. Segment 1 (June 11 15): a four-day field trip in the Yangtze Gorges area to examine key Ediacaran and Cryogenian sections. Segment 2 (June 16 18): a three-day symposium in Wuhan to be held concurrent with and in the same venue as the Third International Congress of Geobiology ( to discuss key issues related to Ediacaran and Cryogenian Earth history and to examine Ediacaran micro- and macrofossils (June 16 18). Segment 3 (June 18 22): a three-day field trip focusing on Cryogenian successions in Guizhou and Guangxi provinces (June 18 22). Participants will have some flexibility to choose which segment(s) they would like to participate in. Based on information we received, a list of participants with their registered segments, as well as a preliminary schedule of Segment 2, is provided. Please us (see 7. Contact Information) to confirm your participation and notify us any errors about your participation information (name, roommate, presentation title, etc.).
