QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: A3-4 Q: How many parks will the contractor be allowed to have closed at one time? RFB Addendum No. 3 Page 1 of 2 BRA LG Park Road Rehab
2 A: The contractor will be allowed to close Rough Creek Park and Thorp Spring Park at the same time and De Cordova Bend Park and Hunter Park at the same time. A3- Q: Will the contractor have access to potable or lake water for this project? A: Potable water is available at the parks through a 1-1/2 pipeline. The contractor will be allowed to pump water from the lake for vegetation watering. Note that all water for reworking the base course and cement stabilization shall be potable water. A3-6 Q: Will stock piles for the excess excavation and chip seal rock be allowed at each park? A: Yes, the BRA will designate areas at each park for stock piles. A3-7 Q: Are there any undisturbed paved areas in the parks where chip seal rock can be stockpiled? A: No, all paved areas in the parks will be disturbed. A3-8 Q: Is there geotechnical information available to the bidders? A: Yes, geotechnical information obtained at the parks is attached with this addendum A3-9 Q: Will the contractor be responsible for reinstalling the wheel stops in the parking areas? A: No, the contractor will stock pile the wheel stops in each park at an area designated by the BRA. A3- Q: How much cement will be required for the base stabilization? A: Specifications state -6 percent by dry and the contractor shall bid it at the maximum 6 percent. A3-11 Q: Will the cement, for the base stabilization, be dry or wet slurry? A: Dry cement shall be added for the stabilization A3-12 Q: Does the project require a SW3P? A: Contractor will be required to include a SW3P as required to meet TCEQ requirements. A3-13 Q: What are the vegetation requirements for this project? A: Contractor will be required to establish vegetation in all disturbed areas to match existing vegetation conditions. A3-14 Q: Is hydro mulching an acceptable alternative to the specified seed and dry mulch? A: Yes END OF SECTION RFB Addendum No. 3 Page 2 of 2 BRA LG Park Road Rehab
3 Project No ILLUSTRATIONS Boring and laboratory data presented were developed solely for the preparation of this report. We are not responsible for interpretation or use of these data for purposes beyond the stated scope of this report. Subsurface conditions different than those found at our boring locations may be present because of, among other factors, soil moisture variations, fill placement, and naturally occurring variations in soil properties, and elevation of the top of the rock.

The mark or line should be paper thin, and it should be natural - not a smear caused by extruding or trimming the sample Note: Information on each boring log is a compilation of subsurface conditions and soil and rock classificaitons obtained from the field as well as from laboratory testing of samples. Strata have been interpreted by commonly accepted procedures. The stratum lines on the logs may be transitional and approximate in nature. Usually lined with gouge and slickensides. Surface Planarity A moderately undulating surface, with no sharp breaks or steps. A flat surface A surface with asperities or steps. The height of the asperity should be estimated or measured. Roughness Near vertical steps and ridges occur on the discontinuity Some ridges and side-angle steps are evident; asperities are clearly visible, surface feels very abrasive. Asperities on the discontinuity surfaces can be seen and felt. Surface appears smooth and feels smooth. Evidence of polishing and movement are visible. Open Core pieces on either side of fracture cannot be fitted tightly together and voids are visible. Healed A completely healed fracture or vein is not considered a discontinuity and should not be included when describing rock core fracturing or calculating RQD. This feature should be described including a record of dip, spacing, thickness, type of filling and any observed alteration.
