10 Staff Parking at KGH Problems with parking at Kelowna General Hospital Not enough of it, and costs too much money Expansion of the hospital and nearby development Limited capital funds to build more parkades (approx. ~$40,000 per stall) Dissent from neighbourhood residents about onstreet parking City of Kelowna climate action plan to reduce GHGs by 33% by /3/2013

21 Main Conclusions Younger workers (18-29) live closer to the hospital People that live closer to the hospital bike and walk more than the rest Lots of potential for transit use in all areas needs to be convenient Certain departments are much more likely to use active transportation People had very strong opinions about parking 21
