2 1) What is mix strategy in aggregate planning? (5) Both the chase and level strategy have some disadvantages like employee dissatisfaction and higher inventory levels respectively. Hence, many companies use the mixed strategy which means that a combination of chase and level strategy is done to get advantages of both. Hence, the employee rate and inventory levels are held steady to lower costs. 2) What is Critical Path Analysis? (5) CPA is a project management technique and consists of two techniques. 1. Programme Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) - When activity time is probabilistic, PERT technique can be used. In this method, three time estimates are made for each activity and these are used to compute expected project completion time and its variance. It is event oriented. 2. Critical Path Method (CPM) - It uses the critical path time and costs to monitor the progress of the projects. CPM is activity oriented. 3) When can we say that the process is under control from process variability and process centering? (5) The process is under control when - 1. The curve is a normal curve. 2. The distribution is symmetrical about the mean. 3. When variability is within the specifications and the distribution is symmetrical about the mean process is centered to the specification. In such condition, the process is said to be under control. Section 1 is complete. Please click on "Next" button to proceed. Section - II Instructions: - It comprises of Objective Questions Only. - Total 60 marks are allotted for objective type questions. - The objective questions are of following type and carries marks as given under.
