3 Experience & Know-how Panreac Química S.A.U. was founded in Barcelona (Spain) in 1941 as manufacturer of chemicals for analysis. After more than 65 years of growing we have the experience and the know-how for the production, synthesis and purification of more than some thousand of products. The most important sectors of production include inorganic salts, high purity acids, organic chemicals, high purity solvents and specific chemicals for various applications. The brand Panreac is the market leader for analytical reagents and fine chemicals in Spain. The quality of our products is recognised worldwide. At present we are exporting to more than 80 countries in five continents.

4 Modern Facilities Our modern production plant built in 2000 occupying more than m 2 is an integrated factory for the production, synthesis, purification and packing of analytical reagents, laboratory chemicals and fine chemicals in small pack sizes, semi and bulk quantities. This factory located in Castellar del Vallés, 30 Km from Barcelona includes: Administrative building and Laboratories Raw materials warehouse Tanks for liquid storage Inorganics production plant Organic Synthesis production plant Solvents distillation Acids distillation Product finishing Bottling and packing area Power utilities Waste water treatment plant There are more than litres of installed reaction capacity with future expansion possibilities. All equipment is the most modern available and is constructed of high quality materials (stainless steel, borosilicate glass, enamelled) in order to maintain the highest purity for processed products.

5 Equipment Production plant is a multipurpose factory focused on the production of analytical reagents, laboratory chemicals, inorganic compounds and organic and pharmaceutical intermediates. There is a wide range of reactors from 50 to 6000 litres, able to work at vacuum or pressure up to 6 bars and high temperature up to 250ºC. Reactors are fitted with necessary equipment to perform reflux reactions, azeotropic distillation, vacuum distillation, phase separation, reactions under inert gas atmosphere, low temperature reaction, gas addition, and even solids distillation.

6 Integrated Management System The General Management of Panreac Química S.A.U. assumes the maximum responsibility in the prevention of risks at work, environmental protection and quality assurance in an Integrated Management System totally implemented in all activities of the Company. This Integrated Management System is based on the following Official Standards: OHSAS 18001:2007 for Prevention of risks at work UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004 for Protection of the Environment UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Assurance As the consequence of this policy, ISO 9001: 2000 Certification issued by BVC supports the Quality Assurance System for the production and processing of Analytical Reagents and Fine Chemicals. The first ISO 9002 certification was granted in In 2001 Panreac obtained ISO 14001:1996 for Protection of the Environment. All environmental regulations about waste water and gaseous emissions from production processes are accomplished due to a modern waste water treatment plant and scrubber systems for adsorbing and neutralizing agressive gases and vapours.

7 Quality The quality of Panreac products is assured by a strict analytical control. Laboratories of our Analytical Department use the most modern instrumental techniques and equipment, including AAS-GF, ICP- OES, UV, IR and Fluorescence Spectroscopy, gas chromatography equipped with FID, ECD, NPD and GC-MS, head space; HPLC, automatic titrators as well as usual laboratory instruments. Qualified and experienced analysts check samples of all produced batches. This outstanding mix of analytical expertise, sophisticated equipment and qualified staff enable Panreac to assure the highest quality of all our products

8 Analytical Reagents The brand Panreac is the Spanish market leader for analytical reagents for laboratory use. Panreac s catalogue includes more than 3300 products, most of them for different analytical purposes including ACS grade reagents; high purity solvents for HPLC, spectroscopy and pesticide residue analysis; volumetric solutions; ph buffers; ICP and AAS standards; ultra pure acids for trace metal analysis and different laboratory chemicals for specific applications. Each type of product quality is defined by the colour of label and acronym or specific brand. You can see the complete range of product types in the following pages. All products delivered by Panreac are analysed according to their specifications or specific application. Most of the volumetric solutions, ph buffers and ICP and AAS standards are NIST traceable. Specifications of ACS reagents or pharmacopoeia grade products always satisfy the latest published edition. All products are available in standard packages as shown in the catalogue or in bulk quantities (upon request). Reagents for trace metal analysis (TMA) The metallic impurity levels are guaranteed to be less than 100 ppt by the main elements (28-32). (TMA) The values given in the certificate of guarantee for a comprehensive list of metals (25-30) are lower than 1 ppb. Very high purity reagents, with impurities in the ppb range for trace analysis. 10 Products Pharmacopoeia grade products Under the Panreac PRS-CODEX label we supply currently more than 250 Pharmacopoeia grade products, according to the most general complete Compendia, like USP, BP or European Pharmacopoeia. Specifications of these products always meet the latest published editions. The quality control includes microbiological tests of specific products. The flexibility of our producion lines and manufacturing conditions permits us to supply tailor-made products according to specific customer requirements or other Pharmacopoeias. Our flexibility allows us for supplying quantities from kilogrammes to tons. High Purity Solvents The distillation plant comprises six distillation units for solvents from 100 up to 2000 litres. We are able to offer a wide range of high purity solvents for laboratory purposes, dry solvents for organic or peptide synthesis or other applications. Distillation units are made in glass or stainless steel and they allow to work until 200 ºC and vacuum of 1mm Hg. Distillation columns are packed with different packing types including Intalox ceramic rings, Pall, Hyperfil SS and Sulzer enabling until 70 theoretical plates of separation efficiency. Distillation units are complemented with 4 adsorption/absorption towers for drying and purification of solvents with specific adsorbents with the total capacity of 4000 litres. We are specialists in high purity solvents comprising HPLC, low water content, pesticide residue analysis and ACS grade solvents. Food Chemicals More than 190 products, under the ADITIO brand, can be used as food additives according to specifications defined by the European Directives about specific criteria of purity for food additives and/or Food Chemicals Codex (FCC). The range of our products includes: antioxidants, preservatives, stabilizers, ph regulators, salts, etc. We are specialists in mineral salts for dairy industry. Formulate your requirements. 11 High Purity acids Our premises include two dedicated plants for the purification of nitric and hydrochloric acids by distillation in glass. This purification process assures an extremely high quality of these acids, with a very low content of metallic impurities. We guarantee 32 metallic traces in the range of ppb controlled by ICP-OES. Our production capacity is high enough for guarantying long term supply contracts of these products for analytical use or high performance applications. We can pack those acids from one-litre bottles, with your labels, up to 1000 litres containers. We also produce very high purity ammonia solutions, with low content of metallic traces in different concentrations and packs. Inorganic Salts Our production plant for inorganic compounds comprises 5 complete production lines from 1500 to 6000 litres of reaction capacity. Each production line includes chemical reactors, recristallisation and the auxiliary equipment for recovering product such as, filters, stainless steel centrifuges, evaporators and drying devices. Private label products Our experience as manufacturers of analytical reagents and laboratory chemicals allows us offering you the possibility of bottling and packaging your products, with your own label under an OEM manufacture agreement. We have a complete and flexible system for printing labels, that permits to print them with your brand and specifications in accordance with legal regulations regarding labelling of chemical products (Directive 67/548/EEC, Annexe I).

12 Organic Synthesis Our expertise and modern facilities allow us to synthesize organic and pharmaceutical intermediates by using various organic reactions and processes commonly used in Organic Chemistry. 13 Contract Synthesis Our experience acquired within the last 65 years in the synthesis of more than 1400 organic compounds, with the knowledge of our highly qualified and trained staff and the technological conditions of our modern plant permit us to be a confident partner in organic synthesis. The independent nature of our Company, which is not affiliated to any Group in this field, assures you that the contract synthesis is carried out under strict confidentiality and exclusivity agreement. Our know-how includes a large number of technologies. We can highlight fluorine chemistry, hydroxylamine salts and, fundamentally, tetrazol salt chemistry. Whenever new pharmaceutical, organic or agrochemical intermediates are required, we are able to supply our customers with the product they require in the needed quantity, from grams to tons. All products are analysed and guaranteed according to their own specifications. Certificates of Analysis of all products are available on line at Some specific product lines like Volumetric Solutions ready to use (SV) and concentrated in ampoules (SVc), Standards for ICP, IC and AAS, ph buffer solutions (ST) and ultra pure reagents for trace analysis (Hiperpur Plus & Hiperpur) are delivered with a Certificate of Analysis accompanying each bottle.
