Program Outcomes (PO): PO 01: Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioral, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices. Course Description: Introduces the students to the area of pharmacy that deals with the quantitative and theoretical principles of physicochemical sciences that is applied to the practice of pharmacy. This subject gives the principles which aids the pharmaceutical scientist to predict solubility, compatability, stability and biological action of drug products Course Objectives To acquaint the students with the fundamental principles & their applications with reference to Pharmacy. To study the physical, colligative and thermodynamic properties of matter.
4 To study physico-chemical properties of solutions like phase rule, refractive index, electrochemistry etc. To study ionic equilibrium, kinetics and absorption phenomenon Course Outcomes (CO):(around 5 to 8) (e.g. CO101.1 (CO - course code, 101 subject code as per syllabus, &.1 is first CO) Code Course outcome CO Describe the intra and intermolecular forces that are involved in stabilizing molecular and physical structures and pharmaceutical relevance of the different states of matter to drug delivery systems by reference to specific examples.
