Погребняк c.r.- Lacteoscythis gen.n. установлен для L. arenaria sp.n. (Anystidae). Новый род xopomo отличается ot 6JIH3KHX к HeMy Tarsolarkus, Paranandia, Parabsolonia, Anandia развитой неотрихией Ha дорсальной поверхности тела (захватывающей, кроме гистеросомы, также протеросому), наличием крупных ортотрихических щетинок Ha спине, отсутствием медиальной щетинки Ha продорсальном шите. Материал собран на песчаных дюнах Соленоозерного участка Черноморского биосферного государственного заповедника, Херсонская обл., Украина. Клещи обладают необычной способностью закапываться B песок nph остановке своего движения. The types of the new species described herein are deposited in the Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev. Measurements are given in μm. Lacteoscythis Pogrebnyak, gen.n. Type species: Lacteoscythis arenaria sp.n Description. Body covered with numerous setae; the neotrichy is presented on the margin of prodorsal shield and on the opistosoma; both pairs of sensillae are on the prodorsal shield; there are large orthotrichial setae on the dorsum; 2 pairs of eyes; setae nc- nd on the platelet, the orthotrichial setae of the hysterosoma are paired with attendant setae; the anal opening is terminal; each tarsus with false articulations, terminated in 2 comb-like claws and claw-like em podium; coxae IV are contiguous one another along median line; chelicera with 2 setae; palptibia with 2 strong claws, proximal palptarsal seta not thickened. Remarks. Closely related to Tarsolarkus, Paranandia, Parabsolonia, Anandia. These genera are similar in the presence of the neotrichy on dorsum. The new genus differs from Tarsolarcus as follows: prodorsum with the neotrichy; no prodorsal medial seta (Barilo, 1984a). Mites of genus Paranandia have eyes on the prodorsal shield, no tackled neotrichial setae on the medial part of the hysterosoma, and orthotrichial

Ukr.ent.Soc. 1(3 4)1993(1995) hysterosomal setae not larger than neotrichial, like in Parabsolonia (Barilo, 1984b) and Anandia, also having no empodium on legs I-III (Smith Meyer, Ueckermann, 1987). Lacteoscythis gen.n. has peritremes like Tarsotomus, and also paired opistosomal orthotrichial setae. Etymology. The generic name is derived from the name of an ancient Scythian nomadic tribe populated this area. Lacteoscythis arenaria Pogrebnyak, sp.n. Material. 32 specimens in 9 slides from 4 samples. Holotype, slide C346a, 2.VI.92, Ukraine, Kherson region, Black Sea Natural Reserve (Chornomorsky Derzhavny Zapovidnyk), section Salt Lakes (Solonoozersky viddilok), sand dune in the steppe. Paratypes: C346(a- r), 3, 9T, 4N (D), ibid., the same date; C347д, T, ibid., the same date; C350a, 3,, 3.VI.92, ibid.; C358 (а-в),, 7, 2T, 7.VI.92, ibid. Fig. 1, 5, 6, 8, 15, 18, 23 - holotype; remainder paratypes. Body oval, length from stigmae to end of body (anal flaps), width (fig. 23). Gnathosoma ( ) in front of idiosoma (on slide) with connection by the short neck, length ratio of gnatho- / idiosoma Total length Anal opening terminal, genital opening ventral. Leg length (without coxae) increases from I to IV. Length ratio (leg I - IV)/ (totallength): 0.47, 0. 73, 0.84, Dorsum (fig. 1). Prodorsal shield oval with thick cuticula near the shield frontally, length, width. Sensillae (66-68 sa, sp) filiform, slightly serrated. Both pair of sensillae and pair orthotrichial setae (na) (80-100) with 1-2 pair attendant neotrichial setae (50-80) are situated on anterior margin of prodorsal shield. Neotrichial setae (27-32) are presented on the margin of shield with pair of orthotrichial (nb) setae ( ). Two pairs of eyes are not far from nb on the integument, posterior ( 40)/ anterior (23) lens= Orthortichial setae on small platelets, with attendant setae in trans- verse rows, nc- nd on a single platelet. Length of nc , nd , ne , nf , fl , f , h , h Idiosomal neotrichial setae (55-70) serrated, fusiform. Three pairs of lyrifissures (cupule) are on the dorsum. Venter (fig. 8). Coxae and opistosoma are covered with serrated setae longitudinal barbed setae (75-90) and one serrated seta (80-85) are on the coxa I. One basal seta shorter (60-65). Setae arranged in transverse row near trochanter. One longitudinal seta (70-80) on integument medially. Striation presents between coxa I and coxa II. Count of setae on coxae II- IV: 24-27,30-39, Variation of setae length on coxae.ii- IV: 33-78, 20-60, Proximal row of setae on coxa IV consist with shorter seta medially and longer setae laterally. Medial opistosomal setae short. Striation presents in front and from the side genital opening. Genital flaps ( ) (fig. 20) with two rows of small serrated setae. Exterior row with setae. Their length increase caudally (15-25). 3-5 setae are isolated frontally. Internal row with 8-13 setae (10-15). They are situated with indent from frontal and caudal margin of flap.

Basal palptarsal seta (40-45) like surroundings setae (fig. 15). Two claws present on palptibia: large claw (55) with 2 rows of 5-7 tooth, smaller (35) rolled spirally. Proximal seta (35-45) tapering, basal (45-50) more blunt. Chelicera(193 length, 73 width) with basal blunt serrated seta (95-100) and proximal tapering serrated seta (55-58) (fig. 7). Small tooth and lines present on lateral side of chelicera. Height of movable digit 25, width 20. Subcapitulum with 4 pairs of setae (fig. 19). The largest basal seta length 45-55, lateral33-38, medial2 pairs equal Peritreme is formed 7-9 pairs of scales (fig. 1 7). It repose on the thick basal part, which are without reticulation (fig. 18). Count of tarsal pseudosegments (without 1 basal and 1 terminal segment) (I-IV): Male differs by its genital opening (fig. 21) and internal genitalia (fig. 22). There are barbed setae (10-23) in 3 clusters and 6-8 longitudinal setae (23-30) of internal row on the genital flap ( ). Dimension of internal genitalia (if the flaps are closed): 125x220.

Their genital regions are as on the fig. 14 and 13. Length of tritonymphal genital setae 15-18, surrounding setae Length of deutonymphal genital and surrounding setae Habitat and locality. These are very mobile, non-red mites, occurring on the sands near the Black Sea coast (northern part). When stop moving, these mites are capable of quick burrowing into sand, gnathosoma first. They have been collected at the Black Sea Natural Reserve, between Yagorlyk gulf and Dnipro-Bug lagoon (Kinburn spit). This is a savannah-like biotope with relict tree compartments amid the sand steppe. References Barilo A.B. 1984a.
