5 3. Hidden Vandals After a hard walk or ski ascent, you come across a magnificent panorama, only to be disgusted to see it spoiled by scar on the native bush due to logging operations. This vandalism is usually invisible to the general public but is often seen from locations that are only accessible to bushwalkers and 4WDs. Logging provides very few jobs and produces a low-value product that appears to be only viable when the raw material is stolen from the public resource. Such forests can potentially lock up tonne of carbon per hectare! Let them do their job of helping to rescue the planet from climate change.

58 56. Approaching Storm Approaching storm, 8 mile camp, Lake Dartmouth The Storm which was approaching was unnoticed in its proximity while I was cooking dinner, hit about 15 minutes later. It lasted about 75 minutes and was very intense accompanied with heavy rain and frequent lightening flashes. Full 35mm colour negative unaltered except for minor tonal adjustment. SCANNED PHOTO

The Campaspe River has had almost no flow for a number of years as a result of the low rainfall and the river largely consists of a series of pools.

To me water is one of our most valuable resources without it we would have no farmers!

97 S10. Lifeline This photograph is important to me, this is because the Lake in the photo ( Copi Hollow ) is an oasis in Far Western NSW. It is a regular holiday spot for Water sports and tourists and an escape from the arrid and dryness of this area. It is home to various Plant and Animal species,it is a water source, a lifeline to the plants and animals in the area. If the water in this system isn't taken care of, it could mean the loss of many unique plant and animals.

Everyone thinks we don t have a great environment but I don t think there looking enough, to me I think we should see the smiling faces on flowers and to see the leaves blowing in the wind. I would like everybody to have a good look at what a lovely and kind environment and garden and see what I see, because this is what the environment means to me.
