Degenerate centra factoria numbers of the second ind Taeyun Kim, Dae San Kim arxiv: v [math.nt] Feb 09 In this paper, we introduce the degenerate centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind which are degenerate versions of the centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind. We derive some properties and identities for those poynomias and numbers. We obtain, among other things, recursive formuas for the degenerate centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind.. Introduction Various degenerate versions of specia poynomias and numbers have drawn the attention of many mathematicians in recent years. The origin of these are the papers by Caritz [, 3] on degenerate Bernoui and degenerate Euer poynomias and numbers. The degenerate Bernoui poynomias were ater rediscovered by Ustinov [3] under the name of Korobov poynomoas of the second. Aso, Korobov [] introduced Korobov poynomias of the first ind which are in fact a degenerate version of Bernoui poynomias of the second ind. A of them studied some arithmetic and combinatoria aspects of those degenerate specia poynomias and numbers. More recenty, aong the same ine, studying various degenerate versions of many specia poynomias and numbers regained attention of the present authors, their coeagues and some other peope in connection with their interest not ony in arithmetic and combinatoria properties but aso in certain symmetric identities and differentia equations [9, 0]. This idea of introducing some degenerate version of certain poynomias and numbers has been extended even to transcendenta functions so that degenerate gamma functions were introduced in [7]. Here in this paper we study the degenerate centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind which are degenerate versions of the centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind. We derive some properties and identities for those poynomias and numbers. In particuar, we wi be abe to find recursive formuas for the degenerate centra factoria poynomias and numbers of the second ind. As to degenerate centra factoria numbers of the 00 Mathematics Subject Cassification. Primary B83; Secondary B75. 2 first ind, we wi be content with defining them. In concusion, we may say that studying some degenerate versions of certain specia poynomias and numbers are promising area of research and that there are sti many things yet to be uncovered. For n N 0}, it is nown that the Stiring numbers of the first ind are defined as x n xx x x n+ S n,x, n, x As shown in [], the Stiring numbers of the first ind satify the reation S n+, S n, ns n,, n. 0. Caritz [, 3] studied the degenerate Euer poynomias given by +λt λ + +λt x λ E n,λ x tn, λ R. 0.3 Now, as a generaization of the faing factoria sequence in 0., the λ- anaogue of the faing factoria sequence are defined as foows: x 0,λ,x n,λ xx λx λ x n λ,n. 0.4 As defined in [7], the λ-stiring numbers of the second ind are given by +λt λ S,λ n, tn, N. 0.5 Note that, by taing the imit λ 0 in 0.5, we have im λ 0 S,λ n, S n,,n, 0. Here, as we can see in [5, 8, ], S n, are the Stiring numbers of the second ind given by x n S n,x,n 0. As shown in [8], the λ-anaogue of binomia expansion is given by +λt x x λ t, 0.6 λ where x λ x,λ! xx λx λ x n λ!,, x 0 λ The centra factoria x [n] is defined by the generating function x [n]tn t + + t 4 x. 0.7
3 From 0.7, we note that x [n] xx+ n x+ n x n +, n, x[0]. As defined in [, 4, 6, 4], for any nonnegative integer n, the centra factoria numbers of the first ind are given by x [n] tn,x. 0.8 By 0.8, we easiy get og 0 t + + t 4 Let ft og t + + t 4. Then we have tn, tn. 0.9 f t e t e t. 0.0 In view of 0.9 and 0.0, we define the centra factoria numbers of the second ind by e t e t Tn, tn. 0. Thus, as shown in [, 4, 6, 4], and from 0. we easiy get x n Tn,x []. 0. From 0., we note that 0 Tn, Tn, + Tn,,n,. 4. A note on Centra factoria numbers and poynomias of the second ind The centra difference operator δ is defined by δfx fx+ fx. 0.3 By proceeding induction with 0.3, we can easiy show that δ fx fx+, N. 0.4 From 0.4, we note that
4 δ x m+ x+ m+ x δ x m + x δ x m + x δ x m + x δ x m + x+ m δ x m +δ x m x+ m x+ } x+ m } x+ m x+ δ x m +δ x m. 0.5 We define the degenerate centra factoria poynomias of the second ind by +λt x λ +λt λ +λt λ T,λ n, x tn. 0.6 When x 0, T,λ n, T,λ n, 0 are caed the degenerate centra factoria numbers of the second ind so that +λt λ +λt λ T,λ n, tn. 0.7 From 0.7 and with the notation in 0.4, we have +λt x λ +λt λ +λt λ t m x m,λ T,λ, t m!! m0 n } n t n T,λ,x n,λ. Therefore, by 0.6 and 0.8, we obtain the foowing theorem. 0.8 Theorem 0.. For any nonnegative integers n,, with n, we have n T,λ n, x T,λ,x n,λ. 0.9
5 Now, we observe that +λt x λ +λt λ +λt λ +λt λ x +λt λ e λ x +og+λt m0 x + λ m m og+λt m! n λ n m S n,mx+ mtn m0 n δ x m λ n m S n,m. m0 Therefore, by 0.6 and 0.0, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 0.. For any nonnegative integers n,, we have δ x m λ n m T,λ n, x, if n, S n,m 0, if n <. m Letting x 0 in 0. gives the next resut. Theorem 0.3. For any nonnegative integers n,, we have δ 0 m λ n m T,λ n,, if n, S n,m 0, if n <. m0 0. By maing use of 0. and 0., we note that n+ T,λ n+, x δ x m λ n+ m S n+,m m0 n+ m m0 δ x m δ x m+ λ n+ m S n,m ns n,m λ n m S n,m nλt,λ n, x. 0.3
6 On the other hand, by 0.5, we get δ x m+ λ n m S n,m m0 m0 x+ n + x+ δ x m +δ x m λ n m S n,m m0 m0 x+ δ x m λ n m S n,m! δ x m λ n m S n,m T,λ n, x+t,λ n, x. 0.4 Therefore, by 0.3 and 0.4, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 0.4. For any integers n,, with n, we have T,λ n+, x x+ nλ T,λ n, x+t,λ n, x. 0.5 Setting x 0 in 0.5 yieds the foowing resut. Theorem 0.5. For any integers n,, with n, we have T,λ n+, nλ T,λ n,+t,λ n,. 0.6 Note that taing λ 0 in 0.6 gives us where n. By 0.7, we get +λt λ +λt λ Tn+, Tn,+Tn,, +λt λ +λt λ +λt λ n Therefore, by 0.7 and 0.7, we obtain the foowing theorem. t n λ. 0.7
7 Theorem 0.6. For any nonnegative integers n,, we have n λ T,λ n,, if n, 0, if n <. The Caritz degenerate Euer poynomias of higher-order see 0.3 are defined as r +λt x λ +λt λ + E r n,λ xtn, r R. 0.8 Then 0.8 is aso given by +λt λ + +λt λ r+ r+ r+ n r+ r r +λt x λ r +λt λ + +λt x λ r + +λt x λ +λt λ +λt x λ +λt λ +λt λ +λt λ x+! T,λ n, x+ tn n!t,λ n, x+ t n. 0.9 Therefore, by 0.8 and 0.9, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 0.7. For any nonnegative integer n, we have E r n,λ x n r+!t,λ n, x+.
8 By 0.7 and 0.5, we get T,λ n, tn +λt λ +λt λ! +λt λ ++λt λ!!! +λt λ +λt λ n n t S,λ i,s, λ n i, n i n i i i n t S,λ i,s, λ n i, n i n i Comparing the coefficients on both sides of 0.30, we have the foowing theorem. Theorem 0.8. For any nonnegative integers n,, we have n S,λ i,s, λ n i, n i i i T,λ n,, if n, 0, if n <. Finay, we woud ie to define the degenerate centra factoria numbers of the first ind. We fisrt reca that the λ-ogarithmic function is defined by og λ t tλ λ, 0.3 where we note that im λ 0 og λ t ogt. Let gt +λt λ +λt λ. Then, using 0.3 we see that the inverse g t of gt is given by t g t og λ + + t In view of 0.7 and 0.3, we are ed to define the degenerate centra factoria numbers of the first ind by t og λ + + t t,λ n, tn 4.
