ON THE DEGENERATE FROBENIUS-EULER POLYNOMIALS arxiv: v1 [math.nt] 17 Ju 2015 TAEKYUN KIM, HYUCK-IN KWON, AND JONG-JIN SEO Abstract. In this paper, we consider the degenerate Frobenius-Euer poynomias and investigate some identities of those poynomias. 1. Introduction For u C with u 1, the Frobenius-Euer poynomias are defined by the generating function to be e t u ext H n x u tn, see [1-10]. 1.1 When x 0, H n x u H n 0 u are caed the Frobenius-Euer numbers. From 1.1, we have n H n x u H ux n, n 0, see [6-8]. 1.2 Note that d dx H nx u nh n 1 x u, n N. In [3], L. Caritz define the degenerate Bernoui poynomias which are given by the generating function to be t 1+λt 1 λ 1 1+λt x λ β n x λ tn 1.3 When x 0, β n λ β n 0 λ are caed the degenerate Bernoui numbers. From 1.3, we have t im λ 0 1+λt 1 λ 1 1+λt x t λ e t 1 ext B n x tn, 1.4 where B n x are caed Bernoui poyomias By 1.3 and 1.4, we get im β nx λ B n x, n 0. λ 0 The Stiring number of the first kind is defined as x n S 1 n,x, n 0, 1.5 where x n xx 1 x n+1, x Mathematics Subject Cassification. 05A10, 05A19. 1
2 TAEKYUN KIM, HYUCK-IN KWON, AND JONG-JIN SEO By 1.3, we easiy get β n x λ n β n x λx λ, n 0, 1.6 where x λ n xx λ x n 1λ. The Stiring numbers of the second kind is defined by x n S 2 n,x, n In this paper, we consider the degenerate Frobenius-Euer poynomias and investigate some properties and identities of those poynomias. 2. Degenerate Frobenius-Euer poynomias For u with u 1, we consider degenerate Frobenius-Euer poynomias which are given by the generating function to be 1+λt 1 1+λt x λ h x u tn 2.1 When x 0, h u h 0 u are caed degenerate Frobenius-Euer numbers. From 2.1, we have 1+λt 1 1+λt x h,λ u λ t n t m x λ m! m! m0 n 2.2 n t h n,λ ux λ n Thus by 2.1 and 2.2, we get h x u n h,λ ux λ n. 2.3 From 2.1, we can derive the foowing recurrence reation: 1+λt 1 λ h u tn u h u tn n n t h n n,λ u1 λ u h u tn h 1 u uh u tn By comparing of the coefficients on the both sides of 2.4, we get {, if n 0 h 1 u uh u 0, if n > 0. Note that im λ 0 1+λt 1 1+λt x λ e t u ext H n x u tn 2.6
ON THE DEGENERATE FROBENIUS-EULER POLYNOMIALS 3 From 2.1 and 2.6, we have We observe that H n x u im λ 0 h x u, n λtx+1 u 1+λt 1 λ 1+λt 1 1+λt x λ t n 1+λt x λ x λ n Therefore, by 2.1 and 2.8, we get 2.8 h x+1 u uh x u x λ n, n Therefore, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.1. For n 0, we have n h x u h,λ ux λ n and In particuar, h x+1 u where δ n,k is the Kronecker s symbo. u h x u x λ n. h 1 u uh u δ 0,n, By 2.1, we get h n, λ u tn 1 λt 1 1 λt 1 1 λt 1 λ λ λt 1 11 λt λ h 1 u 1 1 ntn In genera, h n, λ x u tn 1 λt 1 1 λt x λ λtx+1 1 λt 1 λ h x+1 u 1 1 ntn 2.11 Therefore, by 2.10 and 2.11, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.2. For n 0, we have 1 n h n, λ x u h x+1 u 1. In particuar, 1 n h n, λ u 1 n h 1 u 1.
4 TAEKYUN KIM, HYUCK-IN KWON, AND JONG-JIN SEO We observe that 1+λt 1 1+λt x u d 1 d 1 λ u 1+λt +x 1+λt d λ d ud 1 d d 1 1 d 1 d { 1 d u d d1+λt+x 1+λt d λ u d h n, λ d d n d 1 a0 +x d ud a+x d u d a h n, λ d Therefore, by 2.1 and 2.12, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.3. For n 0, d N, we have 1+u h x u d n 1 d 1 a+x d u d a h n, λ d d ud. a0 d ntn ud } t n 2.12 For r N, et us consider the degenerate Frobenius-Euer poynomias of order r which are given by the generating function to be r 1+λt x 1+λt 1 λ x utn 2.13 When x 0, u hr 0 u are caed degenerate Frobenius-Euer numbers of order r. From 2.13, we can easiy derive the foowing equation. x n n,λ ux λ n, n By 2.13, we get x+y λtn t m,λ xt x λ m! m! m0 n n,λ xx λ t n n Therefore, by 2.15, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.4. For n 0, we have n x+y λ n,λ xx λ n. From Theorem 2.4, we note that x u is a Sheffer sequence. 2.15
ON THE DEGENERATE FROBENIUS-EULER POLYNOMIALS 5 By repacing t by 1 λ eλt 1 in 2.13, we get r e t e xt u x u 1 1 λ eλt 1 x uλ n m m0 n S 2 m,nλ mtm m! t m m!. mn x uλm n S 2 m,n 2.16 As is we known, the higher-order Frobenius-Euer poynomias are defined by the generating function to be r e t e xt H n r u x utn 2.17 Thus, by 2.16 and 2.17, we get m H n r x u h x uλ m n S 2 m,n Therefore, by 2.18, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.5. For m 0, we have m H n r x u x uλm n S 2 m,n. By repace t by og1+λt 1 λ in 2.17, we have r 1+λt x 1+λt 1 λ H n r x u 1 1 λ n og1+λtn H n r x uλ n S 1 m,nλ mtn mn m H n r t m x uλm n S 1 m,n m!. m0 Therefore, by 2.13 and 2.18, we obtain the foowing theorem. Theorem 2.6. For m 0, we have We observe that x u m H r n x uλm n S 1 m,n. r 1+λt x+1 1+λt 1 1+λt 1 r 1 1+λt x 1+λt 1 λ Therefore, by 2.13, we obtain the foowing theorem. r 1+λt x λ h r 1 x utn
6 TAEKYUN KIM, HYUCK-IN KWON, AND JONG-JIN SEO Theorem 2.7. For n 0, we have 1 { } x+1 u uhr x u h r 1 x u. Remark. Let u 1. Then, by 2.1, we get Thus, by 2.21, we get 1 2t t 1+λt 1 λ +1 1+λt x λ 2t 1+λt 1 λ +1 1+λt x λ t h x 1 tn 2.21 h x 1 tn Now, we define the degenerate Genocchi poynomias which are given by the generating function to be From 2.21 and 2.22, we have 2t 1+λt 1 λ +1 1+λt x λ g x tn 2.22 g 0,λ x 0 and h x 1 1 n+1 g n+1,λx, n 0.
