The symposium will be held in Brad, Hunedoara County, Romania, September 13 th 16 th, 2012. The scientific sessions will take place in the building of Museum of Gold in Brad.

3 The symposium will be held in Brad, Hunedoara County, Romania, September 13 th 16 th, The scientific sessions will take place in the building of Museum of Gold in Brad. Attached to this circular is the program of the conference. Depending on the number of participants and hour of arrival, the transfer from Deva to Brad could be managed by the organisers. Date and place Accommodation Accommodation in Brad will be at: - Pension Ana Maria: - Pension Juliana: - «Avram Iancu» National High School Boarding House, in the student dormitories. Scientific Sessions The symposium will have the following sessions: Economic geology, metallogeny and non-metalliferous deposits Mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry Environmental Geology Oral presentations will be allowed 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussions. The presentation rooms will have video-projector (for PowerPoint presentations). For Plenary lectures 25 min. will be given, followed by 5 min. for questions and discussions. Poster boards will accommodate A0 size portrait posters (841 mm wide, 1189 mm high). The official languages of the sessions will be Romanian and English. Paper Publication The papers presented at the Symposium will be published in a volume of the Romanian Journal of Mineral Deposits edited by the Geological Institute of Romania in Bucharest. This journal is also the bulletin of the Society of Economic Geology of Romania.

4 Post-symposium field trips There will be two economic geology field trips: September 15 th, 2012 Roşia Montană-Roşia Poieni. September 16 th, 2012 Rovina-Bucuresci-Colnic. Registration There is the posibility to register also at Brad, in the beginning of the conference (the morning of 13 th Sept. 2012). Participation Fee The participation fees are as follows: 75 Euro for non-segr members 40 Euro for SEGR members Students and persons over 65 years have a 50% discount for the fee. The advance payment of the registration fee can be made to the Society of Economic Geology of Romania. Bank transfer taxes will be paid by participants.
