1 APPENDIX A XRD DATA
2 SAMPLE: A sample of weakly altered, by decalcification and silicification, limestone inter-bedded with siliceous carbonaceous mudstone. The limestone is still weakly reactive with 10% HCl. Formerly gray to dark gray the limestone is not bleached to white to light gray in color. Locally in the area of alteration there is of realgar mineralization, minor. Sample comes from just above a strongly mineralized zone in the cross section B, sampled by drill hole 07-GC-007. The sample comes from a three foot section averaging oz/t. Peak List: Pos. Height [cts] FWHM d-spacing [Å] Rel. Int. [%] Tip width
3 Identified Patterns List: Ref. Code Score Compound Displacement Scale Factor Name Quartz Calcite
4 SAMPLE: A sample of argillaceous mudstone which has been heavily altered by Carlin-type ore fluids. The typical maroon/brown color of the biotite hornfels has been bleached to gray to tan in color. The sample contains abundant fine pyrite locally concentrated along fractures and bedding planes. The sample is taken from above the strongly mineralized zone in drill hole 07-GC-020. The sample itself comes from a five foot section averaging oz/t Au. Peak List: Pos. Height [cts] FWHM d-spacing [Å] Rel. Int. [%] Tip width
