1 United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation ATTACHMENT C-16 ABSORBED DOSE IN THYROID IN JAPAN FOR THE FIRST YEAR UNSCEAR 2013 Report, Annex A, Levels and effects of radiation exposure due to the nuclear accident after the 2011 great east-japan earthquake and tsunami, Appendix C (Assessment of doses to the public) Content This attachment details all the summary tables for the Committee s estimates of absorbed thyroid doses across Japan for the first year after the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power station accident. These summaries are provided for each age group (adults, 10-year old children and one-year old infants) for all non-evacuated districts within Fukushima Prefecture (Group 2), most districts within the Group 3 prefectures (Chiba, Gunma, Ibaraki, Iwate, Miyagi and Tochigi); and for all remaining prefectures in Japan (Group 4). The population data are taken from the recent Japan Census [MIC, 2011].
