Anticipated May Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Dual Major Chemistry & Biology Temple University 19122, USA RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Current Research Projects May 2009 Present The total synthesis of Fusicoccin A, via the installation of the cyclic framework using intramolecular [4+4] 2-pyridone photocycloaddition. Noteworthy reactions include: Baylis-Hillman, Cu mediated cyclopropanation, and oxidative trapping of cis-1,5-cyclooctadiene photoadducts. Investigating the reactivity of highly functionalized 1,5-enynecyclobutanes towards metal mediated cyclization & isomerization, to rapidly build complex alkaloids and multi-ring compounds. Investigating a novel strain induced interruption of the de Mejiere-Kulinkovich reaction, of alkene tethered lactams. 1
