The four participating countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea and Cameroun) are requesting a six month extension to the current project#s closing date of December 31, 2011, in order to make sure that the remaining activities under procurement process and/or implementation are duly completed. The Government of Guinea Page 1 of 10

requested the restructuring and funds reallocation of its component of the project to use such funds for two key activities that may be implemented in a reasonable amount of time while significantly improving Conakry airport#s safety. The Project#s overall disbursement rate is currently 69%. In the case of Mali, the Credit is almost fully disbursed, with a contractual commitment rate of 97% and a disbursement rate of 91%. For Cameroun, the contractual commitment and disbursement rates are respectively 91% and 72%, while for Burkina Faso they are 92% and 69% and for Guinea, 53% and 40%.
