Technical Information for Side illing Cutter Adjusting side cutter Tangential Type (High rigidity) Operating manual CNHQ Side illing Cutter for Cast iron Thread illing Cutters for Aluminum Cutters for old Face illing Cutter illing s illing illing edium/roughing. Excellent performance at medium to roughing range (~mm) table operation due to the strong rigidity of the cutter. Good performance in heavy interruption and deep depth of cut application. Radial Type (Low cutting load) corners available edium/finishing. Suitable for small width cutting operation. (~mm) 3 dimensional chip breaker provides smooth cutting operation. Several chip breakers as per applications are available. (F,, FA) Economical insert using cutting edges per insert. Features recise adjustable side cutter can control the width of the cutter by unit. Since the width of the cutter is adjustable up to 1.mm, single cutter can cover various cutting width. Specially designed clamping system of the locator provides excellent rigidity by using elastic deformation of the locator. Tangential type clamping system of insert provides enough strength can withstand big width of cutting operation. 3dimensional chip breaker of insert provides smooth cutting with low cutting load at medium to finishing range. orloy code system (mm) clamping way R : Radial type Using SDXT T : Tangential type Using CNHQ Adjusting A : Adjusting side cutter configuration FC : Full side cutter HC : Half side cutter Cutter type : lane type B : Boss type SDXT Arbor type : etric A : Inch Special screw screw Cutter diameter () Wedge inimum width of the cutter/ aximum width of the cutter For half side cutter, minimum width of the cutter will be written only. Clamp wedge slightly on locatorwedge pocket by using wedge screw. 2. ut locator on locatorwedge pocket along with the keyway. 3. Tighten the taper screw little bit to set proper position of locator.. Tighten the wedge screw tightly by using ~0N.m torque.. After put the insert on insert pocket of locator, clamp it with insert screw by using ~N.m torque. How to adjust Runout & Cutting width 1. Settle the adjusting side cutter after cleaning to the jig for measurement.. 2. Unscrew the Wedge screw first, then tighten wedge slightly again by using N.m torque. 3. Adjusting the height of cutting edge by using a dial gauge to set the width of the cutter.. Tighten the wedge screw tightly by using ~0N.m torque.. To finish the setting, tighten the taper screw for strong clamp. E2
