SUMMARY Dusty Mac Mines Ltd. (N.P.L.) carried out a magnetometer survey over the Pod Group of claims between April 8th and April 18th, 1973. Control for the survey was established by marking and chaining lines and tying them into claim posts. PROPERTY The property, consisting of 29 contiguous claims, is located about 4 miles west of Tunka Lake, in the Highland Valley, Kamloops Mining Division, Lat. 50' registered as follows:- Name of Claim Pod 1 to 4 Incl, Pod 6. Pod 8 Pod 10 Pod 11 to 16 Incl. Pod 17 to 24 Incl. Pod 25 to 28 Incl. Pod 29 to 32 Incl. 35', Long. 120' 55'. 2. GEOLOGY The rocks in the area consist of granodiorite and quartz diorite, which is part of the Highland Valley Quartz Diorite batholith. The outcrops on the property show little to no alteration, and appear to be in general quite massive. MINERALIZATION One small prospect pit located near the eastern border of Pod 2 shows some copper mineralization associated with two narrow quartz veins. Minor pyrite is seen on claims Pod 11 and 13. AERO MAGNETICS The Government aeromagnetic maps show that the northern part of the claim group lies partly on a one square maile area with a magnetic reading of 25 gammas in a field of 3200 gammas, and a similar low condition in the southern part of the claims, Because of these anomalies the ground magnetometer survey was carried out.

3. HISTORY OF PROPERTY The only recorded work that has been carried out on these claims is a preliminary map and a reconnaissance I. P. survey which was done under the supervision of Andrew E. Neven, Ph. D., P. Eng. in August 1971. Prior to this work prospectors had dug a small pit on the one copper showing. MAGNETOMETER SURVEY The work carried out by Dusty Mac Mines Ltd. consisted of surveying and marking control lines carrying out a ground magnetometer survey. An east-west base line was established and nine cross lines marked in a direction N 6 W. These lines were flagged and marked at 100 foot intervals. The magnetometer readings were taken using one Sharpe Model M.F. 1 and one McPhar Model M-700. The two instruments were caliberated at a base station which was used to check any diurnal variations. Readings were taken at 100 foot intervals along the lines, and notes on topography and outcrop patterns were made.

The survey was carried out by the writer and Seamus Young (field 4. assistant). Two other men were employed to chain and mark the control lines, A map of scale 1" = 400' showing the readings obtained and the magnetic contours has been prepared and is included with this Report. RESULTS OF SURVEY The survey shows th?t no large area with low magnetic readings is found on the Pod Group of claims, either in the nothern or southern part of the group, One small area of magnetic relief is found in the southern portion pf Claim Pod 2 and some moderate relief is found in claims Pod 3 and 4. These areas are largely outcrop and it is felt by the writer that the magnetic variations are mainly due to topographic features and overburden thickness.
