You will receive passes for each vehicle indicated in the Vehicle Survey you completed several weeks ago. Band Warm-Up Please see the Contest Site Maps (sent separately) for designated warm-up areas. There are Saturday classes at Merced College, and College/City police will be monitoring the entire campus for warm-up area violations. Be considerate of the band performing on the field and make sure your band is facing a direction that will not disrupt the performances in the stadium. There can be no sound bleed into the stadium. The use of Dr. Beats, jam blocks, other time keeping devices and the use of long rangers and megaphone amplification devices cannot interfere with the performances occurring in the stadium. Any band using these devices during their warm-up and disrupting a competing band in the stadium will face a ONE POINT penalty to be assessed by the chief judge. It is your responsibility to manage your warm-up and report to the performance entry at your designated time. Your pit must be at the stadium at least 15 minutes prior to your performance time. You may stage props early providing there is enough room in the designated area. Motorized Vehicles in the Stadium Merced College prohibits the use of motorized vehicles larger than an ATV Quad on the stadium track. Golf carts and ATV s with 3 or 4 wheels are permitted. Passenger cars and pickup trucks are not allowed. Please ensure your pit vehicles meet this requirement before arriving at Merced College, as there will be no exceptions. If you d like to confirm your pit vehicle will be allowed on the track, send a clear picture of the vehicle to Mike Smith (mike4466@pacbell.net) or Jon Schmid (jschmid@muhsd.org) and we ll be happy to assist you. 2

Bands will perform in reverse order of class championship score regardless of class. Tiebreaker Rule Awards WBA tiebreaker rule states that whenever a tie occurs, the band that has the higher score in General Effect will become the higher placing band. If GE scores are tied, then the Music score will break the tie. Ties are broken only with each class of competition to determine placement. However, if two bands tie from two different classes are progressing into Grand Finals, then the tie will be broken to determine order of performance. Should two bands at the break point tie for progression into Grand Finals, the tie is broken for performance order purposes but both bands will be allowed to advance. Finale will be drum majors, captains and seniors only. Groups should report to Performance Entrance during the last performing band. Medallions for individual members of the champions in each class. Championship flags and/or banners for the champion in each class. Trophies will be presented to 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place in all classes. Class and Grand Championships will be determined by one performance simultaneously. 4A and 5A bands will perform on Sunday only. Class and Grand Championship will be determined by one performance simultaneously. Bands will be notified by 5pm on Friday, November 18 of final decision via text, and website posting. This will require and WBA will issue a video pass given at Band Check-In. Please communicate this change to your team and make arrangements to record your performance should you wish. Due to the professional photography and webcast crew on-site, use of cameras of any kind are NOT ALLOWED on the field for this event. Please communicate this to your parent/booster group.
