8 EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SENIOR MANAGEMENT MA JOR (RETIRED) LIAN ENG MING, KAT, PJK, PSC General Manager Major (Retired) Lian Eng Ming joined the Malaysian Armed Forces as a Cadet Officer in 1977 and was commissioned a year later into the Royal Ar tiller y Regiment. In his 29 years of ser vice in the Malaysian Army, he ser ved in various capacities such as; Unit Commander, Staff at Formation Headquar ters, Instructor at Training Institute and also as a Militar y Obser ver with the United Nation Transitional Authority in East Timor (UNTAET). With vast experience in operation, training and logistic management, he was awarded the Excellent Ser vice Award twice in 1996 and He attended the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College in While still in ser vice, he fur thered his ter tiar y education on his own and obtained an Advance Diploma in Business and Administration (Swansea) in He lef t the ser vice in 2005 on optional retirement and joined Wira Security Ser vices Sdn.
