1 Vehicles are our main source of transportation, which is why auto manufacturers are using innovation and technology to produce autonomous, or self-driving, cars. This type of vehicle is capable of sensing its environment and controlling the car without human input. It uses specialized technology to measure distance and move the car. Some companies developing self-driving cars include Audi, General Motors, Google, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Volvo. Match the descriptions of various words that describe autonomous cars to their correct names. A. Robotic Vehicle B. Computer Vision C. Control Systems D. LIDAR E. Odometry F. SURUS G. Radar H. V2V A vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating itself without human input or human control. A flexible fuel cell electric platform with autonomous capabilities. Capable of analyzing sensory data to distinguish between different cars on the road, which is very useful in planning a path to the desired destination. The use of data from motion sensors to estimate change in position over time. An technology designed to allow automobiles to commuicate with each other. An interdisciplinary field that deals with how computers can be made to gain high-level understanding from digital images or videos. Uses radio waves to determine range, angle, or velocity. A remote-sensing technology that measures and maps the distance to targets, as well as other property characteristics in its path.
