Jessica Wooder Technical Assistant, Corporate Environmental Programs 375 Magna Drive Aurora, ON L4G 7L6 Phone: A statement of whether there has been a change in the method or combination of methods used to track and quantify the substance during the previous calendar year and, if there has been a change, a description of the change, the reason for the change and how the change will impact tracking and quantification of the substance. A change in the method used to track and quantify emissions was made at the recommendation of the toxic substance reduction planner. Source testing was used in place of engineering estimates to provide a representative measurement of emissions at the facility. This provides the facility with the opportunity to evaluate toxic use reduction options using representative and accurate data. Changes to the method of
4 quantification significantly improve the reliability and provides a higher level of quality in the data used for tracking and quantification of TRA substances.
5 The name of the substance and the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry number for the facility: Name: Copper (and its compounds) CAS Number: No single CAS number applies TRA and NPRI quantifications for comparison of 2011 to 2012 for Copper (and its compounds): Categories Used Created Transformed Destroyed Change in Tracking/ Quantification Percent Change* No 100-1, ,000-3% On-site Release No % Off- site Disposal No % Off-site Recycling Contained In Product No 100-1, ,000-21% *based on detailed accounting Note: Accounting information is also located on the Environment Canada NPRI website and the Ontario Ministry of Environment Reducing Toxics website.
