3A Molecular Sieve Description The pore size of molecular sieve is 3A o. It does not adsorb any molecular larger than its pore size. According to the industrial application specialties, we endue our products with the characters of higher adsorption speed, stronger crushing and anti-contaminative resistance, more cyclic times and longer work-span is assured for our product. All these advantages have made it come to be the most essential and necessary desiccant in the fields of the deep drying, refinery, polymerization for cracked gases, ethylene, propylene and any other non-acidic gases or liquids in petroleum and chemical industries. Dehydration of many kinds of liquids (say Ethanol). Dehydration of air. Dehydration of Refrigerant. Dehydration of natural gas or methane. Dehydration of cracked gas, ethylene, ethyne, propylene or butadiene Type 3A molecular Sieve is recommended for drying unsaturated hydrocarbons and highly polar compounds such as methanol and ethanol. The 3A structure is particularly effective in dehydrating the inner space of insulating glass windows as well as refrigerant gases. Reactivation method Insufflate the sieve bed with vapor to exchange the organics out to avoid char formation at first, then reactivate the molecular sieve with common method. For further detail, please abide our latest instruction.

4A Molecular Sieve Description The pore size for molecular sieve is 4A o. It is mainly used to adsorb water, methanol, ethanol, sulfureted hydrogen, carbon dioxide, ethylene, propylene, does not adsorb any larger molecular than its pore size, and often used as desiccant in industrial applications. Deep drying of air, Natural gas, alkane and refrigerant. Generation and purification of argon. Static dehydration of electronic element, pharmaceutical and unstable materials. Desiccant for paint, dope and foul etc. Type 4A molecular sieve is typically used in regenerable drying systems to remove water vapor or contaminants which have a smaller critical diameter than four angstroms.

5A Molecular Sieve Description The pore size for molecular sieve is about 5A o. It can adsorb all kinds of molecular smaller than this size, it is mainly used in separation of the normal and isomerous alkane, pressure swing adsorption (PSA) for gases,co-adsorption of moisture and carbon dioxide. Based on the industrial application specialties, we have produced out our own PSA molecular sieve products, which have better selective adsorb ability and more rapid adsorption speed, being the elaborated products, it could suitable for gases generation and concentration PSA plants of any sizes and any types in the world. Pressure swing adsorption. Remove of water and carbon dioxide from air. Type 5A Separate normal paraffins from branched-chain and / cyclic hydrocarbons through a selective adsorption process.

Activated Alumina Balls Description Activated Alumina is an aluminum oxide which is highly porous and exhibits tremendous surface area. Activated Alumina is resistant to thermal shock and abrasion and will not shrink, swell, soften nor disintegrate when immersed in water. Surface area are in the range m2/gm. Because it has a higher capacity for water than Silica Gel at elevated temperatures it is mainly used as a desiccant for warm gases including air. In many commercial applications zeolitic materials have now replaced it. Purification of gases and liquids (removal of metallic traces, TBC and HF compounds). Drying of organic liquids such as LPG, propylene, butene, steam cracked liquids, cyclohexane, gasoline, chloro- and fluorohydrocarbons, aromatic solvents. When free from moisture the Granules or beads are dark blue in color. As the beads takes up moisture, they turns to light blue gradually & When they turn pink, it indicates that the gel need to be replaced or regenerated. In fact, it is mainly used as indicator for the extent of dehumidification and moisture absorption in sealed vessel

When free from moisture the particles are dark orange. As they are put to use, the particles take up moisture, Silica Gel gradually turns Orange-Yellow & then to green and gives a ready indication that it has done or its saturated. Its work and requires replacement or regeneration.the Silica gel Orange beads areove product is free from foreign impurities such as Chlorides, Sulphates and other organic matter and has high absorption efficiency.

Optical instruments and devices Protection of Export Consignments from moisture in salty atmosphere Drying and storage of Flowers and Seeds In July 2000, cobalt chloride was declared highly toxic.therefore, silica gel blue self indicating has been given a risk phrase of R49: May cause cancer by inhalation.

Silica Gel White Description Silica gel is an amorphous form of silicon dioxide, which is synthetically produced in the form of hard irregular granules (having the appearance of crystals) or hard regular beads. A microporous structure of interlocking cavities gives a very high surface area (800 square meters per gram). It is this structure that makes silica gel a high capacity desiccant. Water molecules adhere to the gels surface because it exhibits a lower vapour pressure than the surrounding air. When an equilibrium of equal pressure is reached,no more adsorption occurs. Thus the higher the humidity of the surrounding air, the greater the amount of water that is adsorbed before equilibrium is reached. It is in these higher humidity conditions (above 50% Relative Humidity) that stored or in-transit items are susceptible to damage. The beauty of silica gel is the physical adsorption of water vapour into its internal pores. There is no chemical reaction, no by products or side effects. Even when saturated with water vapour, silica gel still has the appearance of a dry product, its shape unchanged.silica gel is one of the oldest and most popular desiccant and adsorbent used for a wide number of industrial and consumer applications Drying and cleaning of air and gases. Drying of analytical sample. Drying of solvents. Drying of synthesis products. Optical instruments and devices. Protection of Export Consignments from moisture in salty atmosphere. Drying and storage of Flowers and Seeds

Chromatography Adsorbents Description Chromatography adsorbents are regularly used in pharmaceutical & chemical manufacturing units, where prime concern of chromatography is to make final pure compounds or make a impurity profile studies for pharmaceutical & Herbal products. Column chromatography techniques help in extractions, synthesis & purifications of natural products & Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Sorbead India with technical tie up with Swambe chemicals manufactures various types of Silica & alumina for chromatographic separations, with an aim to offer various particle sizes & various pore diameters products, which is required for complex chromatographic separations. The Silica Gel & Alumina Brockmann I-II grades which are manufactured are as Normal phase, Flash grade & gravity grade with different pore diameters. Alumina are being offered as basic, acidic and neutral grades. Sorbead India measures the pore diameter using the BET method which guarantees the best and most accurate results during manufacturing process. Sorbead manufactures the following chromatography Adsorbents for industrial and laboratory use Aluminum Oxide- Aluminum oxide is a whitish colored powder which is used for chromatography and is highly porous and water adsorbing. With a bulk density of gms per liter and a surface area of square meters per gram, these adsorbents are suited for various applications like column chromatographic separations, Food Colours, Dyes & Spectroscopic solvents, Herbal extractions of Natural products, isolation and antibiotics purification. Silica Gels Silica gels have a different mesh sizes which are between The Silica gel particle size distribution offers an excellent flow rates and a high level of stability. The typical surface area of these gels is square meters per gm. Sorbead India adopts a highest quality standards for such a sensitive & accurate product, which ensures a batch to batch reproducible results for any chromatographic separations.

Aluminum Oxide Chromatography Description Aluminium Oxide for Chromatography is a white to off white, fine-grained powder, highly porous form of aluminum oxide. Its surface is more polar than that of silica gel and reflecting the amphitrical nature of aluminium, has both acidic and basic characteristics. The chromatographic characteristics are determined by its specific (internal) surface area measured by the BET Method, its mean pore diameter, and its pore volume, the latter two being in relation to the specific surface area. Sorbead India assures to supply the highest quality chromatography sorbents, with controlled physical characteristics for reproducible chromatographic performance. Aluminium Oxide for chromatography is being used in the laboratory and in industrial production. For Preparative column chromatographic separations, Isolation & Purifications of Antibiotics. As a support material in analytical chromatographic columns Purification & Dehydration of Organic Solvents On industrial scale for the removal of small amounts of undesired components. e.g. : Side reaction products from mother liquors, water from non-polar solvents, etc. In the separation and purification of dyes, dye intermediates alkaloids, steroids, liquids, amino acids, hormones, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, vitamins. For purification of Natural Products & herbals like Reserpene, Capsacin & some oleoresins. Storage Conditions: Store in a dry room. Prevention against water, acid and alkalis.

Silica Gel Column Chromatography Description All chromatographic methods -with the exception of TLC- use columns for the separation process. Column chrom-atography has found its place in many laboratories for preparative purposes as well as for reaction control in organic syntheses. The importance of column chromatography is mainly due to following factors: Simple packing procedure Low operating pressure Low expense for instrumentation Column chromatography is separated into two categories, depending on how the solvent flows down the column. If the solvent is allowed to flow down the column by gravity, or percolation, it is called gravity column chromatography. If the solvent is forced down the column by positive air pressure, it is called flash chromatography, a "state of the art" method currently used in organic chemistry research laboratories. The Adsorbent Silica gel (SiO2)and alumina (Al2O3) are two adsorbents commonly used by the organic chemist for column chromatography. These adsorbents are sold in different mesh sizes, as indicated by a number on the bottle label: silica gel 60 or silica gel is a couple examples. This number refers to the mesh of the sieve used to size the silica, specifically, the number of holes in the mesh or sieve through which the crude silica particle mixture is passed in the manufacturing process. Adsorbent particle size affects how the solvent flows through the column. Smaller particles (higher mesh values) are used for flash chromatography; larger particles (lower mesh values) are used for gravity chromatography. For example, silica gels are used for gravity columns and mesh for flash columns. Grades Available mesh mesh mesh mesh mesh mesh mesh Features and Benefits High resolution
