6 APPLICATION OF SODIUM SILICATE Sodium Silicate is made from sodium oxide and silicon dioxide, the molar ratio between them called modulus, the physical property and usage would be different if the modulus changes. Detergents The indispensable raw material of washing powder,detergent and soap. The fundamental material of the chemical products such as silica gel, white carbon black,zeolite molecular sieve. Beneficiation Making molecular sieve (3) Chemical industry: used as a flame retardant, degreasing cleaning agent, rust inhibitor. (4)Light Industry : Ceramic adhesive,tiles adhesives, welding adhesive strip.
