Chemical Engineering Research Instit ute Tianjin U niversity Tianjin China) Abstract : The mass t ransfer process of multicomponent system is completely different f rom t hat of a simple binary system. Due to the diffusion interactions between different components on the mass transfer process the efficiencies of species in a multicomponent system are not the same changing between -. In some cases some species appear osmotic diffusion reverse diffusion or diffusion barrier. The traditional Fick s 1aw can not explain these phenomena and it is necessary to explain them by Maxwell2Stefan equations which can provide t he most general and convenient approach for describing multicomponent mass t ransfer. A review is given to t he derivation of Maxwell2Stefan equations t heir solution and t heir application to interp hase mass t ransfer in mu1ticomponent systems. Seed Oil with Supercritical Fluid Extraction YIN Jian2zhong SUN Xian2wen L I Zhi2yi DING Xin2wei (Dalian U niversity of Technology Dalian Liaoning Province China) Abstract : A set of experimental device which was used for supercritical fluid extraction of seed oil was developed. Extraction of oil from crushed Hippophae Rhamnoides L. seeds with supercritical CO 2 was performed over the pressure range of l5 30MPa and temperature range of on a laboratory apparatus. The effects of operating parameters such as pressure temperat ure graininess weight f raction and ext raction time on t he oil yield have been investigated and t he optimum processing parameters were obtained. The result showed t hat t he higher extraction rate could be obtained at a pressure of 25MPa and a temperature of 40. The ext raction time was 4 5h when flow is 0. 2m 3 / h. Composition analysis showed the content of unsaturated fatty acids % and saturated fatty acids %.
