We specialize in handling Containers, Bulk Cargo, Project Cargo, Steel, Heavy Equipment and Liquid Cargo. Some of the major Projects handled by us are as follows: Chuka Hydroelectric Project (Royal Government of Bhutan) Construction Equipment for Vidya Sagar Setu (Gammon India) Export of Complete Plant to Kenya (JK Synthetics) We have tie-ups with the Major Transport Houses in Calcutta and Haldia for a very quick and efficient Delivery of Cargo. Over the years we have narrowed down on three major Transport Houses to take care of our Clients Logistical Needs. We make use of a well equipped and Modern Fleet of Trucks, Trailers (Low and High Bed), Cranes, Forklifts for moving round 20Ñ and 40Ñ Containers in and around the City 2

3 Third Party Logistics (3 PL), or Managed Warehousing as it is known, is the function by which the owner of goods (The Client Company) out sources various elements of the supply chain to one 3 PL company that can perform the management function of the clients inbound freight, customs, warehousing, order fulfillment, distribution, and outbound freight to the clients customers. The global trend towards outsourcing elements of the supply chain is to achieve superior customer service levels. It is recognized the importance of cost competitiveness, and most organizations focus great efforts on continuous improvements to efficiency and productivity. 4 Freight Forwarding: For offering a One window solution to our Clients every Logistic need, Orient Transport Co. is starting its Freight Forwarding Operations under the brand Orient Logistics Company. The Operations will commence shortly from our Branch Office Situated at Chowringhee Road, which is located in the Commercial Hub in Kolkata. Supply Chain Management: Orient Transport Co. has a tie up with CHAÓs and Third Party Logistics Providers in the other Port Cities of India along with the ICDÓs located in Delhi, Bangalore etc. We manage our clients logistical needs in these cities as well.
