5 Spring in the Mountains The leaves turn green Kudzu covers the mountains Snakes slither on the ground The grass turns green Bees cover the flowers Frogs sing at nighttime they hide in the grass. 6 Spring Animals I hear their sounds. Ribbits and roars, Thumps and chatters. Black Bears Careful. Watchful Mama protects her cubs. Rabbits Sneaky. They wait to jump out and scare you. Squirrels Rude. Their chatter blows their cover. Brown Deer Great "Hide and Seekers." Lizard Fast as a bullet, He looks like a race car. Toads That interupting toad Croaking here and there. I an't see you anywhere.

Sometimes their cadence is changed to rain That pitter-patters on my roof Its song is soft, a muffled drum To rinse and cleanse the day It tells me I will wash it all anew Let my murmurs show the way. 16 High School Greening Up the Mountains The sky, a pale pink, shimmering in the golden glow of evening light. A crimson Robin chirps its tender song as it glides through the sky with the grace of a ballerina. The air whispers flirtatiously to the leaves of the mountains. Each tree sways to its own melody, its body dancing from side to side. The sound of a creek bounces through the air, splashing like mermaids in the sea.
