Mrs. Grace Alwyn inaugurated the event by launching the hydro rocket

2 HYDRO ROCKETRY In this activity, SPACE club students explained about the parts of a rocket and its launcher. After explaining the parts of a rocket, club students explained NEWTON S THIRD LAW OF MOTION i.e., every action has an equal and opposite reaction, on which a rocket works. The students enacted the various roles during the rocket launch process Yashica Prasad 6 th A CBSE Kayalvizhi.T 8 th B CBSE Harsh Ranjan 7 th A CBSE Ankita 7 th A CBSE As the explanation part finished, one or two students from audience launched the mini hydro rocket. The other audience students enjoyed the launch as they were amazed to see a real rocket flying in their school premises and appreciated the application of laws of motion. Club students explained the working and parts of rocket and launched the rockets

3 COMET KITCHEN In this activity, SPACE club students explained about Comets and also made comet with simply available household material. During the making of comet the club students followed all the safety measures and ensured the importance of these measures to their fellow students. Through this activity, the audience students learnt the definition, parts, size, content etc. of a comet. SPACE club students who conducted and explained the activity are as follows: Nandita 8 th B Niveditha 8 th B Dorothy Jeyarose 7 th B The audience students were excited to see the comet and they were amazed to see the simple process of comet making. Students made a copy of comet and explained about its composition.

4 HANDS ON TELESCOPE In Hands on telescope, SPACE club students explained the parts and working of a telescope and they explained how to use the telescope and how to align it towards any objects to see it, they showed some terrestrial objects to the audience. Below mentioned SPACE club students presented and demonstrated the activity: Dexter Hathaneal 7 th B CBSE V. Subramanian 6 th B CBSE A. Gowtham Gugan 6 th B CBSE

5 SAFE SOLAR OBSERVATION In Safe Solar Observation, SPACE club students handled the telescope themselves and illustrated sunspots to audience students by projection method and explained about some of the safe as well as unsafe methods to observe the SUN. Below mentioned SPACE club students presented and demonstrated the activity: Shanmuga Priya 7 th B CBSE Chris Aaron 7 th A CBSE M. Maitreyi 7 th B CBSE Students watched sun through solar view Goggles Students watched sun through Projection

Club Student explained the uses of the Astronomer tools to students.

7 TATTOO MAKING In this activity, SPACE club students made ASTRONOMY tattoos on hands of a few audience students who came to participate in the ASTRONOMY DAY. This activity was an amalgamation of arts and science.the SPACE club students Shreya of 7 th B CBSE showed their creativity and imaginative skills. Club Student made tattoo on hands of few audience

8 WEIGH ON DIFFERENT PLANETS This is an amazing activity in which students got a chance to know their weight on different planets. In this activity, a set of calibrated weighing scales was placed with the respective Students checked their weight on difference planets.
