13 What was particularly good/positive about the module? The students were nice and the lectures were also nice, welcoming and professional. We all had a lot of fun and we quickly learned each other s names and who we were :) I was very exciting to hear about Elin and her trip to Afghanistan. And Susanne from the diabetes ward. I like that he got to do different things - group work, discussion in class etc. I like the general tone in class was positive and that we were divided into groups representing other schools and nations. - It was good to speak English from the start, because you got used to it fast. - It was nice to have committed teachers :) - Good with the presentation from Elin :) - Good discussions in the class. The possibility to be creative the opportunity to work with people from other schools and countries. There was a good opportunity to practice my language skills. It has been very positive that all the students and teachers talked in English all the time. It has been good that the lessons have been a mixture of lectures, group work and discussions. The high respect among lectures and students; high participation of everyone from both sides; discussions/sharing ideas and accept, or better, respect also other opinions and ideas. A very good experience at least. I think that where many opportunities to discussion in the class which I liked. + I really liked the movie Patch Adams. It really gave us some perspective on nursing/caring. - I especially liked all the discussions and different ways of doing it e.g. one were patient another nurse. Other times it was in the class room where everybody participated. - I liked the poster presentations and different topics. - I found the atmosphere were nice, students just fell in as if we all know one another. Nice to have some foreigners from Spain and Italy :) A nice "loose" atmosphere/welcoming Engaged teachers! So good! A bit long days... but ok content. Good watching "Patch Adams" - good reflection. Nice having food! In my opinion the best part of the module has been the dialogues between the students and the lectures, the discussions increase the possibility of thinking by you and learning from the others. That it was all right to speak English even though grammar wasn t always correct. It was nice to experience that I am able to communicate "prof." in English There was much less "svadæ" than usually is during lectures, and the teaching was a lot more inspiring and professional than usual. I really liked the atmosphere in the class and it was great that there were so many opportunities to talk and discuss in class. And it was interesting topics and a good way to learn through articles and then present on a poster. And a great input with Elin :) The Level, the relevance of the literature. The fact that it is only 2 weeks. The students from other countries. All the discussions. - The ethical discussions on the class - The first day where we introduced our narratives. -The social events with nurse Ellin from Afghanistan. - Very good that we had to speak English all the time. Seeing the film "Patch Adams" Working with the posters Free food :) Meeting students from all over the world. 14 Do you have any points of criticism and suggestions to improve the module? I would liked to have it high light a bit more that we had to write a narrative, because I didn t noticed and I could not had in a very good one. The making of the poster was fun, but we didn t have a lot of time, and it was it was difficult to find out what you wanted. It could have been nice to have seen the once that was make last time. (if it could be possible) Perhaps batches with names, the first couple of times. I personally could have used some more time for the presentation in the group with counseling. Maybe the teachers English (pronouncing) could have been at a higher level. Most of it was good, but some of it a little distracting to listen to. There could have been more time to make the poster. It will be a good idea if there will be chosen an easy article to start with and later on work with difficult articles. Otherwise I don t have any suggestions. I think that we should more time preparing the poster, because I didn t think 1 day was enough or The teachers should made it more specific what the poster should include, the size of the poster etc. -perhaps one more "out coming" lecture telling about e.g. ER or other words. Nice with Elin telling about "dr. without borders" - Perhaps some support in transport. To the ones from Odense and Svendborg, its get a bit expensive. - A better "advertisement" before the Module. More mixing of students so that we get to talk more in discussions/group work in different groups. To share ideas and values and make the "sense of social relations" better... Coffee and tea for tea break first day :) Is the literature search necessary? - We also had that (except Pub-med) on module 5. More time to make the group work, in this case the poster Maybe that it is pointed out that if you want to learn - you yourself has got to do the work. It may encase the level in the groups? More time to make the poster. It could have nice to have more time with the rest of the class, outside our groups. I was surprised that the lectures English level wasn't higher. Sometimes it was a bit distracting when the speech wasn't fluent. I think you need to talk about the poster from the beginning. I felt that there was too little time to make it. We did not have enough time to make the poster. We wanted it to be big and well made, but it took us much longer than the hours we had been given. Difficult literature More dialogue based education - smaller groups where working on a daily base. Lesser people = more talking.
