4 -; Government of Bihar Home Department (PoliceBranch) Notification No.- 4/B-I-102/2008 H.P,.1 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section-55 read with Section-94 of the Bihar Police Act, 2007 (Act 7 of 2007), the Governor of Bihar is pleased to make the following amendments in Appendix 103 of Rule-663(a) of the Bihar Police Manual, 1978 with effect from the date of issue of notification> Amendments Appendix 103 [Rule-663 (a)] Amendment of Sub-Para (0) of Paragraph-S of Appendix 103 of Bihar Police Manual, The Sub-Para (0) of Paragraph 5 "Written Examination" in Appendix 103 of Bihar Police Manual, 1978 shall be substituted by the following, namely:- "(0) Physical Ability Test: Total 100 Marks (1) Run: - Maximum 50 Marks For Men of all categories.. 1 mile (1.6 krn) [in maximum 6 minutes] Upto 5 minute - 50 Marks More than 5 minute and up to 5 minute 20 sec - 40 Marks More than 5 minute 20 sec and upto 5 minute 40 sec - 30 Marks More than 5 minute 40 sec and upto 6 minute - 20 Marks For Women of all category - 1 km [in maximum 6 minute] Upto 5 minute - 50 Marks More than 5 minute and up to 5 minute 20 sec - 40 Marks More than 5 minute 20 sec and upto 5 minute 40 sec - 30 Marks More than 5 minute 40 sec and upto 6 minute - 20 Marks Candidate taking more than 6 minute shall be declared fail. (2) Shot-put: - Maximum 25 marks For Men of all categories - A Shot-put of 16 Pound will have to be thrown up to minimum 16 feet. (i) More than 16 feet and up to 17 feet - 09 marks More than 17 feet and up to 18 feet More than 18 feet and up to 19 feet More than 19 feet and up to 20 feet More than 20 feet - 25 marks
5 For Women of all categories - A Shot-put of 12 pound will have to be thrown up to minimum 10 feet. More than 10 feet and up to II feet More than II feet and up to 12 feet 'More than 12 feet and up to 13 feet More than 13 feet and up to 14 feet More than 14 feet - 09 marks - 25 marks (3) High Jump - Maximum 25 marks For men of all categories - Minimum height 4 feet. More than 4 feet and up to 4 feet 4 inch More than 4 feet 4 inch and up to 4 feet 8 inch More than 4 feet 8 inch and up to 5 feet More than 5 feet - 25 marks For women of all categories - Minimum height 3 feet. More than 3 feet and up to 3 feet 4 inch More than 3 feet 4 inch and up to 3 feet 8 inch More than 3 feet 8 inch and up to 4 feet More than 4 feet - 25 marks. Candidate, not completing the minimum determined criterion in all the three events i.e. Run, Shot-put and high Jump, shall be declared fail. Merit list for selection for the appointment to the post of Constable in Deistrict and Minlitary Police will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in all the three events under Physical Ability Test, viz. Run, Shot put and High Jump. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the Physical Test, their enter-se place in merit list shall be determined on the basis of their dates of birth; and, in case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the Physical Ability Test and having the same dates of birth, on the basis of their educational qualification. Thus, in case of candidates obtaining equal marks, the older candidate and in case of candidates obtaining equal marks and having the same dates of birth, the candidate having the higher educational qualifications shall be placed higher in the merit list." 2.
