2 P assionate about N eedle R olle eaings. am ollowes & Rolle ollowes am ollowes and Rolle ollowes have stuctues of needle olles embedded in thick. These beaings ae designed fo otation of the, with small fiction coefficient and excellent otation pefomance. ecause adial cleaance fo these beaings ae designed to be small to effectively enlage the loading zone, they mitigate the shock load when the outside suface guides in diect contact with the mating cam guide suface, and ensue stable and long life. Poviding wide vaiety of models as seies fo both am ollowes with studs and Rolle ollowes with inne ings, suitable beaings can be selected fo vaious opeating conditions. They ae hence widely used fo cam mechanisms and linea motion of conveying equipment. am ollowe Seies Geneal Explanation 5 imension Table 3 Intoduction of Application Examples 0 Intoduction of ustomized Poducts 5 Model ompaison Table fo am ollowes 7 Extenal Lubication Pats fo am ollowes -Lube Units Geneal Explanation 7 imension Table Rolle ollowe Seies Geneal Explanation 77 imension Table 85 Intoduction of Application Examples 0 Model ompaison Table fo Rolle ollowes 8 2

Tack capacities shown in the dimension table ae values on the assumption that hadness of the mating membe mateial is 0R (tensile stength: 50 N/ mm 2 ) and if hadness is not 0R, these values must be multiplied by tack capacity factos shown in Table 8. If lubication between the and the mating cam guide suface is insufficient, seizue and/o wea may occu depending on the opeating conditions. Theefoe, attention must be paid to lubication and suface oughness of the mating cam guide especially fo high-speed otations such as cam mechanisms. 16 f AM OLLOWERS Mounting tes about mounts Make the cente axis of the mounting hole pependicula to the moving diection of the am ollowe and match the side shoulde accuately with the seating suface indicated by dimension f in the table of dimensions. (See ig. 3) The chamfeed mounting hole should be as small as possible (0.5 o so). When mounting am ollowes, do not hit the flange head of the am ollowe diectly with a hamme, etc. This may lead to a beaing failue such as iegula otation o cacking. If the am ollowe is not in good contact with the mating unning suface then we ecommend use of a cowned type. ig. 3 eight of side face of mounting hole tes about oil hole position and loading diection The mak on the flange head of the stud indicates the position of the oil hole on the aceway. Avoid locating the oil hole within the loading zone. Othewise, poduct life may become shote. (See ig..) The hole located in the middle pat of the stud pependicula to the stud cente axis is used fo geasing o locking. Oil hole tes about mounting s When mounting am ollowes, fix in place by holding the hexagon hole o scewdive slot with a hex wench o slotted scewdive and use a wench to tighten on a nut. (See ig. 5) If mounting by tuning the hexagon hole o scewdive slot itself, the hexagon hole o scewdive slot of the am ollowe may become damaged. ig. 5 Methods of mounting When tightening the nut, the tightening toque should not exceed the values shown in the table of dimensions. If the tightening toque is too lage, it is possible that the theaded potion of the stud will be boken. When thee is a possibility of loosening, a special nut such as a lock nut, sping washe, o self-locking nut should be used. When diect-fixing the am ollowe without nuts fo mounting as shown in ig., it may be difficult to achieve sufficient tightening toque. If the scew then loosens, stess may concentate on the thead, causing the stud to beak. Such a is not ecommended. Mounting s fo Solid Eccentic Stud Type am ollowes o Solid Eccentic Stud Type am ollowes and Eccentic Type am ollowes, a efeence position fo adjustment is defined as the mak at the side face of stud colla located in the position specified in ig. 7. Use this as a efeence. Adjust the position by otating it using the hexagon hole on the stud head. The stud is fixed with a nut and a sping washe, etc. The tightening toque should not exceed the values of maximum tightening toque shown in the table of dimensions. When shock loads ae applied and the adjusted eccenticity has to be ensued, it is ecommended to make holes in the housing, stud and eccentic colla, and fix the stud with a dowel pin as shown in ig. 8. oweve, studs with diamete 8 mm (eccentic colla diamete: mm) o less ae quench-hadened. 59 Poducts Undepin Sustain Technology Leaps Gentle to The Eath Nippon Thompson o., Ltd. is woking to develop global envionment-fiendly poducts. It is committed to developing poducts that make its customes machiney and equipment moe eliable, theeby contibuting to peseving the global envionment. This development stance manifests well in the keywod Oil Minimum. Ou pusuit of Oil Minimum has led to the ceation of s popietay family of lubicating pats as -Lube. Nippon Thompson o., Ltd. was the fist Japanese manufactue to develop needle beaings on its own and has since expanded into the aena of linea motion olling guides (Linea Motion Seies and Mechato Seies) on the suppot of its advanced expetise. The company now offes a vast assotment of ingenious poducts, including the wold s fist -Lube maintenance-fee seies, to addess inceasingly divesified custome needs and thus sustain technology leaps. -Lube Maintenance-ee Seies Poducts Evolving fom the Oil Minimum oncept We have developed lubicating pats impegnated with a lage amount of lubicant as -Lube Seies to save the custome s oiling management wokload and built them into beaings and linea motion olling guides. The -Lube Seies not only keeps poducts maintenance-fee fo long by giving them an optimal and minimal amount of a lubicant fo an extended peiod of time but also contibutes geatly to peseving the global envionment.
