1 7.2 P rodu c t L oad/u nload Sy stem s The 10" or 12" augers, or the 10" conveyor are high capacity load/unload systems with hydraulic controls to manoeuvre and operate. The hydraulic assist allows the operator to position and operate the auger/conveyor in most conditions. M anifold w ith c artrig es for Au g er/c onv ey or c ontrol H y drau lic C ontrols The 10 or 12 Deluxe auger/10" or 12" Conveyor have!ve hydraulic controls to position and activate the auger. The controls are: - Motor Control: Forward Slow/Fast, Stop, Reverse - Inner Arm Swing: In, Out - Outer Arm Swing: In, Out - Auger Height: Down, Up - Transfer Hopper: Fold, Unfold The controls can be activated with a remote control (Figure 7.7)or manually, using push buttons on the frame mounted control valves (Figure 7.4). Hydraulic #ow for the load/unload auger or conveyor/lift system is diverted from the radial fan(s)supply by selecting the Fill Mode or Fill/Cal Mode on the remote. There is a remote switch that is used to control the hydraulic functions of the auger/conveyor/lift systems. The switch is to be used as a "shut-off" in the event of an emergency. a. Set the switch to "RUN" for normal operation; b. Push the switch to "STOP" for emergency shut-off of the auger/conveyor. i. Ensure that the switch returns to "RUN" for operation again, when it is safe to do so. The Power/Emergency STOPswitch is located on the right side of the AirSeeder, near to the working light switch and weigh system monitor, refer to Figure 7.5. 5 P osition for T ank F ill Ensure that the air seeder fans are disengaged and the hydraulics for the load/unload auger are engaged. To position the auger to!ll the air seeder tanks: 1. Open the air seeder tanklids. 2. Operate the Auger Height control in the DOW N position until the auger clears the tank and the hopper is several inches above the ground. 3. Use the Inner Arm Swing and Outer Arm Swing hydraulic controls to swing the auger away from the air seeder. Manoeuvre the auger until the spout is over the desired tanktop opening. Adjust the Auger Height if required. 4. Once the spout is over the tanktop opening and the hopper is in position, adjust the Auger Height control in the DOW N position to anchor the auger hopper in place. 5. To start the auger to convey product, press the Forward button on the remote, this will start the auger in Slow speed. Press the Forward button a second time to activate the Fast speed. Sequentially pressing the Forward button will toggle the auger between Slow and Fast speed. To stop the auger, press the Stop button on the remote. To change tankopenings: 1. Open the air seeder tanklids. 2. Use the Auger Height control to lift the auger spout out of the tanktop opening. 3. W ith a secure grip on the auger handle, use the Inner Arm Swing and Outer Arm Swing hydraulic controls to manoeuvre the auger until the spout is over the desired tankopening. 4.
