5 How to learn to use the Handbook Seminars/Conferences This Handbook is a step in a coordinated approach to providing railroads and electric companies the ability to insure compatibility Seminars and Conferences will be held to provide Handbook users the training necessary to effectively use the tools provided in the Handbook Details of Seminars are being discussed this week EPRI is proposing an annual conference for Handbook users While designed to meet the needs of electric power companies, the conference might be open to railroad personnel 5

6 Possible EPRI Conference Power System and Railroad EMC Handbook Conference Conference would be offered at a sponsoring company 2½ day conference could involve both EPRI and contract instructors, and member presentations of case studies Attendees could receive a field edition of the Handbook The field book will include those sections most useful to personnel studying interference problems in the field 6
