Its body shape is equally comfortable in small and large hands, with design innovations such as two ejector buttons providing the user with the ability to optimise personal ergonomics. Constructed from durable PP/PVDF they are noticeably lighter in weight than many competitive models. Internally, featuring medical grade stainless steel springs/pistons* plus a PTFE/O-ring seal system for a long serviceable life, they represent excellent value. Each pipette has its own unique serial number etched into the body, is individually calibrated and is supplied with its own quality control certificate. Additionally, the tip ejector incorporates height adjusters to ac com mo date virtually all brands of tips. The plunger and ejector buttons are er go nom i cal ly located and op er ate smooth ly to allow com fort able pipetting by both right and left handed users. For com fort able pipetting in any direction, the tip manifold rotates 360. The innova tive ejector bar is curved, al low ing the tips to be pushed off in steps, there - fore re duc ing the amount of force re quired for ejec tion. The use of ad vanced, light weight ma te ri als (in both the body of the pipette and the piston assemblies) results in a pipette that will stand up to constant use, yet is easy to hold, even during ex tend ed pipetting sessions. 7 accurate sample delivery is a function of both PIPETTE and TIP performance A carefully calibrated and maintained pipette is capable of delivering fluids within 1% of the targeted value. Variations introduced as a result of tip performance however are often far greater than 1% and overall performance can be seriously compromised. Do not use a dry cycle as this may cause deformation or weakening of the plastic. Allow temperature within the autoclave to return to 80 C or less before removing product. Bulk Packaged Pipette tips are available in bulkpackaged, re-sealable plastic bags keeping them safe from contamination. Hinged Racks Axygen tip racks in durable polypropylene provide good stability on the lab bench. They feature a hinged lid with a snap fastener and are available nonand pre-sterilised. Stackable Racks Axygen interlocking stack racks offer stability for the tips while saving valuable lab bench space. 9

The filter prevents crosscontamination from sample to sample by creating a physical barrier in the tip to inhibit and block aerosols. Although each model allows a comfortable air gap between the rated volume and the filter, in the event of over-pipetting, samples can be easily recovered, by simply dispensing. Every polyethylene filter, free from DNA inhibitors, is inserted into the tip robotically to ensure freedom from nuclease contamination. All Axygen Filter Tips comply with USP 3127 (Heavy Metal Contamination) and are certified to be RNase, DNase and endotoxin safe.
