14 I N S T A L L A T I O N C O N S I D E R A T I O N S S I T E P R E P A R A T I O N: Coordination of equipment (i.e. if a crane to place the bench on the site is not provided from Tremca, we will need to rent one for the day, etc.) Set stakes for the placement of the bench foundations on site. Verify measurements and placement. Check the level of the gravel layer under the woodchips. If necessary, add/remove gravel to achieve an even layer of compacted gravel under the foundation blocks. Compact gravel by hand, or using a rented compactor if necessary. F O U N D A T I O N S: Lay concrete block foundation in place. B E N C H P L A C E M E N T: Delivery of bench from Tremca factory. Crane into proper alignment with foundation blocks. Level the bench segments in place, making sure the ends line up cleanly, shim if necessary. Carry out any fi nal adjustments to bench, or repairs needed from transit. Re-lay the woodchip level.
