42 Ongoing work and visions By means of an adaptive choice of local v-order, the method should resemble Euler equations or Navier Stokes equations, when they are (locally) accurate enough. Time integration by operator splitting. The current explicit time-stepping method shall be replaced by an implicit/explicit time-stepping method, where the stiffness due to the collision operator should be treated implicitly.
