2 of other studies mentioned above For example, A () is reduced to sequences of generalized order- Fibonacci Numbers and A () is reduced to sequences of generalized order- Pell Numbers when t 1 = 2 and t i = 1 (for 2 i ) In addition Binet formulas for (SOF) and (SOP) can be obtained by using equation (7) This analogy shows the importance of the matrices A () and D () and Generalized Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials Based on this idea Kaygisiz and Şahin defined sequences of generalized order- Lucas Numbers using G,n (t) and D() in[4] In this article, we first present sequences of Generalized Van der Laan and Perrin Polynomials(V,n i (t) and Ri,n (t)) using Genaralized Fibonacci and Lucas Polynomials and obtain generalized order- Van der Laan and Perrin Numbers, sequences of generalized order- Van der Laan and Perrin Numbers by the help of these polynomials and matrices A () and D () In addition, we examine the relationship between them and explore some of the properties of these sequences We believe that our result are important, especially, for those who are interested in well nown Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell and Perrin sequences and their generalization MacHenry [8] defined generalized Fibonacci polynomials (F,n (t)), Lucas polynomials (G,n (t)) and obtained important relations between generalized Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials in [9], where t i (1 i ) are constant coefficients of the core polynomial which is denoted by the vector F,n (t) is defined inductively by P(x;t 1,t 2,,t ) = x t 1 x 1 t, (1) F,n (t) = 0, n < 0 F,0 (t) = 1 t = (t 1,t 2,,t ) (2) F,1 (t) = t 1 F,n+1 (t) = t 1 F,n (t)+ +t F,n +1 (t) G,n (t 1,t 2,,t ) is defined by G,n (t) = 0, n < 0 G,0 (t) = G,1 (t) = t 1 G,n+1 (t) = t 1 G,n (t)+ +t G,n +1 (t) In [10], matrices A () and D () are defined by using the following matrix, 2
3 A () = t t 1 t 2 t 1 A () is obtained by multiplying A () and A 1 () = 3, A () loos lie this and A n () = where A (3) = S ( n,1 2 ) S ( n,1) S ( n) S ( 3,1 2 ) S ( 3,1) S ( 3) t 3 t 2 t 1 S (n 1,1 2 ) S (n 1,1) S (n 1) S (n,12 ) S (n,1) S (n) (3) by the vector t in (2) For ( 1) 1 S (n +1,1 1 ) ( 1) j S (n +1,1 j ) S (n +1) ( 1) 1 S (n,1 1 ) ( 1) j S (n,1 j ) S (n) (4) S (n r,1r ) = ( 1) r n j=r+1 Derivative of the core polynomial (1) is which is represented by the vector t j S (n j), 0 r n (5) P (x) = x 1 t 1 ( 1)x 2 t 1, ( t 1,, t 1 ( 1),) (6) Multiplying A () and A 1 () by the vector (6) gives the matrix D () Right hand column of A () contains sequence of the generalized Fibonacci polynomials F,n (t) In addition, the right hand column of D() contains sequence of the generalized Lucas polynomials G,n (t) For easier reference, we have state some theorems which will be used in the subsequent section We also give some sequences mentioned above 3
