The occurrence was found by drilling into a combined electromagnetic and till geochemical (Cu-Co) anomaly. References: 2, 3 Mineral deposit type Group: Metallogenic deposit Main type: Felsic (magmatic hydrothermal) Sub type 1: Porphyry Comments: The deposit could be of porphyry type overprinted by orogenic gold mineralisation, if not a porphyry Cu-Au class. Depletion of Ca, K, Mg, Na and gain in Mo, Ni, Zn do not fit into orogenic style of mineralisation, but may take place in saline fluid-dominated intrusion-related systems. Possibly syn-d2 and syngenetic with the intrusion of the Rautio Batholith. As, Mo from the intrusion, As, Ag, Co and Ni from country rocks.
