The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the minimum area required for an unserviced residential lot from 2,500 square metres to 1,860 square metres, which matches the minimum lot size permitted by Service NL. This amendment comes into effect on the day that this notice is published in the Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette. Anyone who wishes to inspect a copy of the document may do so at the Stephenville Town Office during normal business hours. 11 NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 108/18 Forest Land Management and Taxation Regulations (Amendment) under the Forestry Act (O.C ) (Filed December 6, 2018) Under the authority of section 76 of the Forestry Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. (1) Paragraphs 2(b) and (c) of the Forest Land Management and Taxation Regulations are repealed and the following substituted: (b) "annual tax rate" means the rate calculated and set annually by the minister in accordance with section 63.1 of the Act; The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette 1197

12 Forest Land Management and Taxation Regulations (Amendment) 108/18 (c) "fair market value" means an amount calculated and set annually by the minister in accordance with section 63.2 of the Act; (2) Paragraphs 2(e) and (g) of the regulations are repealed. 2. Section 10 of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: Managed land tax 10. If a parcel or part of a parcel is managed land, the managed land tax shall be calculated by multiplying the total area of the parcel, or part of it, exclusive of waterbodies greater than 2 hectares, by the annual tax rate. 15 NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 110/18 Public Sector Compensation Transparency Regulations (Amendment) under the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act (O.C ) (Filed December 6, 2018) Under the authority of section 12 of the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. Section 7 of the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Regulations is amended by adding immediately after section (5) the following: (6) This section does not apply to employees of the legislative branch. The regulations are amended by adding immediately after section 7 the following: Time limits re: employees of legislative branch 7.1 (1) The clerk shall, not later than March 31 of each year, provide written notice to all of the employees of the legislative branch that the information in section 3 of the Act will be disclosed. (2) An employee of the legislative branch may file an application under subsection 7.1(1) of the Act not later than April 16 of each year. (3) The clerk shall provide his or her decision regarding the application not later than April 30 of each year. (4) An employee of the legislative branch who is dissatisfied with the decision of the clerk may file an appeal under subsection 7.1(2) of the Act not later than May 14 of each year. (5) The speaker shall provide his or her decision regarding the appeal not later than May 30 of each year. 3. Section 8 of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: Disclosure re: exemptions 8. The following information shall be included in disclosure under section 9 of the Act: (a) a statement that no information was exempted from disclosure under the Act where no information was exempted from disclosure under the Act; (b) a statement that information regarding one employee was exempted from disclosure under the Act where information regarding one employee was exempted from disclosure under the Act; or (c) a statement indicating the number of employees whose information was exempted from disclosure under the Act and the aggregate total compensation exempted from disclosure. 17 Public Sector Compensation Transparency Regulations (Amendment) 110/18 4. The Schedule to the Act is amended by (a) deleting the reference "Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission"; (b) deleting the reference "Government Purchasing Agency" and substituting the reference "Public Procurement Agency"; and (c) deleting the reference "Mental Health Review Board". 20 Revenue Administration Regulations (Amendment) 111/18 2. The regulations are amended by adding immediately after section 64.7 the following: Tax advantage Commencement 64.8 Where a retail purchaser cancels a contract of insurance relating to an automobile before it expires and enters into a new contract of insurance relating to an automobile solely for the purpose of availing of the reduced tax rates prescribed in subsection 91.1(1.1) of the Act, the reduced tax rate shall not be applied until the expiry of the original contract of insurance relating to an automobile. 2.
